My wife and I were in San Diego for the 250th July 4th 2026 celebration, aboard the USS Midway Museum. I served aboard her in 1971. We wanted a boutique hotel instead of one of those big corporate places. The Bristol didn't disappoint. The rooms are nicely furnished, the amenities are well thought out and the staff was very attentive. It's also only a short 8 block walk down Broadway to the Midway. My only minor complaint is the fee for parking. $45 is a night is a little excessive. We stayed 3 nights and used Uber/Lyft for all of our sightseeing (Old Town, Balboa Park and the SD Zoo). Parking in San Diego is terrible.

Clean and simple!
-
Great place to stay if you don’t have kids. No pool for them but it was a nice hotel and close to everything!
-
There are not enough parking spaces for the amount of rooms/guest.

Clean room, vintage looking hotel. But I need of beautification. Fine for one night if you're just using it to sleep in. Location was A+.
-
Very convenient location. Access to most buses and rail lines. Very easy commute from the airport to the hotel. Staff was very helpful and attentive. The only issue was the homeless population.
-
The front desk gave out room to someone while we already checked in and someone waked in on us!
-
The hospitality of the front desk staff and doorman is flawless. I am surprised that someone could run to the door and open it for me.

It was good

Housekeeping available upon request. Valet parking a little pricey, but in line with the area. Good location in proximity to Petco Park, Gas Lamp district.

Location was great. Walking distance to Gaslamp Quarters, etc. Property was still in renovation phase and looks unorganized. Hallway was filled with old building smell. The room itself was not so bad considering the hotel appears to be old. However, my main complaint is the bathroom. Water pressure was weak and shower booth drain was not drain well (At the end of each shower, I am standing on a pool of soapy water. It drains away about a half an hour later). Bath robe was listed and shown in the property pictures, but they say it is not available even though we checked in at 4 PM. My truck was told to be too big for their valet parking service. I ended up with parking the truck at parking facility around the block. It was not worth for $350 for this hotel room for a Friday night...

Very friendly staffs!

It was okay, not well maintained. Ice machine looked very unclean and on a completely different floor than the water dispenser which is very small and impossible to use on large tumblers and cups. Room was clean and nicely decorated. Parking is an issue but the staff were amazing!

The hotel was very quiet, I slept well. I think they should put more towels in the room

Staff were very nice, room was clean, and located conveniently close to lots of dining opportunities.
