Perfect value for our budget and the location. Utilized the pool, workout room and breakfast every morning.

It’s nice that the hotel has a pool that isn’t too deep, we had small children with us, and the hotel tub is also decent.
-
Very convenient up the streets from SeaWorld.

Schools are extremely helpful. A small hotel but an absolutely fabulous breakfast. Well cared for pool and hot tub and housekeeping wind above and beyond for us

It was a great place to stay!

Location is fairly central - about 20 minutes to most places/attractions/shopping in the city. Staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast has decent offerings for fickled kids. Coffee/Tea/Hot water available 24 hours. Parking is great.

The place is clean, but the building and our room smelled like an old building even though it's clean. It kind of caught me by surprise since most of the Holiday Inn Express I have stayed at usually smelled fresh and really good. The elevator is small and dark, and warm. The hallways going to the room is warm and feels like has no AC running to keep it cool. The dining room area for breakfast is so small, it was so crowded and nowhere to sit. People are sitting and eating in front of the computer, some on the bench near the elevator, and some on the table outside. We had no choice but to bring our breakfast in our room and ate there. Other than that, it was still a good stay. The beds are comfortable and the room and the building are very clean.

The price they are charging for a two quality star hotel is not worth it

We always stay at Holiday Inn Express because they are always so reliable. There is always parking available and they make checking in so simple. The rooms are always clean and well maintained. The fitness room is usually spotless with towels and water available. Not to mention, their breakfast is great!

Clean room, great staff and good breakfast

Hotel is located in an industrial/sketchy neighborhood (strip joint nearby, no other nearby hotels). Hotel parking in semi-secure garage was totally inadequate for the number of hotel guests. Overflow parking was unlit the first night we were there, but for nights 2 and 3 we had no choice, given the size of our vehicle (Chevy Suburban). Lights were on in lot and we had no trouble, but didn’t feel very secure. Pool was small and uninviting. Hotel interior was fine. Good hot breakfast. Close to SeaWorld and the Zoo.

The room was great. The breakfast was great. The pool unfortunately isn’t that safe the ladder handles at the deep end was not sturdy at all. The patio chairs were not reupholstered by a professional could fall through but the pool and hot tub were clean and very refreshing.

It’s located in a location that is uncertain but our stay was wonderful! Super thankful for the lady upfront and how clean the property was. Thank you!

While this hotel is very close to SeaWorld San Diego and relatively close to the San Diego Zoo, it's not located in what one would typically associate with a Holiday Inn Express. The neighborhood is somewhat sketchy (at least one strip club and quite industrial), the parking garage was totally inadequate for the number of vehicles associated with all the hotel guests and there were not enough spaces for full-size vehicles, such as a big SUV, which we had, since we were traveling in two vehicles with a party of 10. The adjacent parking lot was unlit the night we arrived, which concerned us about the security of our vehicle. The second and third nights we had no choice, since all the garage spots were taken, but at least the lights on the side of the building were on. The hotel did appear to have a security guard on duty, but it's unclear how often he patrolled the outdoor lot. We ended up without any damage to our vehicle, but the whole scene was a bit unnerving. The room doors didn't close super-tight, so there was some hallway noise. Inside the hotel felt relatively secure, and the morning hot breakfast was nice to have. The swimming pool was completely uninviting and totally undersized, so we didn't even think about having our five grandkids try it out. If you're looking for a nice, big-city hotel in a typical hotel district with a large, inviting pool and a location that feels secure and inviting, this isn't the place to be.

Check in was great. Plenty of parking. Room was good size and clean. Breakfast was great. We had different selections on the three different days we were there. The ladies were so wonderful at keeping everything stocked. I highly recommend it if you have children. We had four and we didn't feel like we had two tiptoe around. Great place for kids if you want some peace and quiet this is not the place for you but families very welcomed.
