I liked it. Great quality for the price. Fantastic location.

The instructions for entering my BBB room was negligible. There wasn’t a room number and the code for entering my room was incorrect. Once inside I was unable to get a warm shower not to excuse a hot shower. The bed was angle from right side being high to the left side being low. So I had to sleep at an angle for fear that I would roll off. The tv remote did not work so once I turned it on I to unplug it to o turn off. The.facility was quiet however.

Excellent stay and the location can’t be better for a Padres game

I have never reviewed a property before but this one warrants a first. It was absolutely disgusting inside with a ton of gnats in the room + bathroom. The hot water didn’t work half the time and the AC was spotty. Stay away at all costs. Spend the extra money snd stay elsewhere.

Staff was helpful when I called

Had a great stay, highly recommend to book this place.

I rented 2 rooms. In my sons room, 208, as soon as we entered for the first time, we noticed the bed was not made. The blankets were folded and placed on the bed. The bedsheet, had a light yellow stain with what appeared to be a small blood stain. Why that sheet is still being used in beyond believe. My room, 206, the sheet also had a small brown blood stain. Their was a weird smell in the rooms and hallway. The front door, was not closing. This is not a hotel with staff in it. A code is given to folks to unlock the front door. That door would not close. Obviously, it was broken. I did call staff to let them know. Their fix? To place folded paper on the doors latch for it to properly close. This half-a$$ fix did not work. We were there for Comic-Con week. Next year, I will definitely get a real hotel not a building concerted into a hotel.

Clean room. Good for the one night stay. Would stop again

The self check in with out a front desk clerk went smooth all the codes worked properly, not used to that type of check-in. The room was nice small but to the most part was clean, the shower still has some hair on the wall of the shower and the toilet was a little dirty. There were a lot of fruit flying the room which was annoying. The bed was nice and comfortable, it was a new memory foam cushion. When I exited in the morning I took the wrong exit and ended up in the basement or something and there were bags of trash on the floor with fruit flies all over the place, that explains the fruit flies in the room and hallway

Just OK, but the parking situation was pretty trash

We made a last minute reservation at this hotel just to sleep a few hours. There was absolutely no parking on garage or street. We drove around one hour and gave up. Ended up continuing our drive home. Do not stay here.

Everything was good, the only thing I would add is a bottle of water

Very close to Petco Field, Gaslamp District.5/5 walking score.Very basic rooms. Clean. There are no staff so any concerns are done by text message or phone call. Lots of great coffee shops within walking distance.

Channel selections were very good amenities were okay needed a bit more space and microwave and fridge would have been nice great establishment though.

The room was disgusting. The sheets were not washed. The bedding had stains everywhere. There was a toenail in one of the beds. Hair from previous guest in the beds. Both beds were very uncomfortable and had no actual fitted sheet. Just a flat sheet that was stained. We got there late so i didnt notice one bed was way worse than the other. But the morning sun showed everything. I can’t believe they would actually leave that for a guest. The shower curtain was ripped. The floors clearly were not mopped or swept. I hate to be like this I never leave terrible reviews but I’m so upset and disgusted.

I called the phone number and received a call back in less than 5 minutes

Hotel Gigi is close to everything in downtown San Diego. It was a great home base for our visits to Petco Field, Balboa Park, San Diego Zoo, and the Rady Shell.
-
It was a pleasant stay at Hotel Gigi. The room is clean, cozy, and reasonably priced. The location is convenient and is within walking distance to the convention center and the Petco Park. There is a small grocery store right around the corner too. The staff/owner are very responsive when help is needed. I had some passcode issues with the newly installed digital door lock for my room, but I got help immediately with a call. It is a self-service hotel, so if you are looking for luxurious hotel experience with amenities and room service, it might not be suitable for you.

I enjoyed my stay
-
The facility offered a clean room and comfortable bed. It is centrally located and close to so many bars and restaurants. Walking distance from PetCo park. Room was small and basic with no in room coffee machine or mini fridge. There is no onsite parking but there are multiple parking lots or structures nearby. Depending on what day of the week or events at PetCo: parking can be limited. Recommend you reserve a spot online. There is no pool or spa or anything extra. No on-site staff, however, there are signs around the property with a host name and number, should you need anything. If you're ok with no extras: I highly recommend you stay at Hotel Gigi!
