Ocean Villa Inn

Pet friendly, but don't expect clean well maintained rooms.

The room I stayed in was a 2 queen suite with a fold out coach. The room definitely needed renovation and the flooring was in very bad shape. Balcony area was nice. Price was high for the quality.

The only thing good about this property was the view the room smelled of dog dirty and rundown for sure. Spent over 200 night and have pre-booked another words stuck with this property. If you have animals great place to stay if you don’t mind the shape of the property otherwise I suggest to find somewhere else to stay come to find out there are plenty other rooms I could’ve got with an exceptional view same amount of money and clean bed to sleep in with a room that doesn’t smell like wet dog.

Was fine.

The maids tried to open the door twice in the morning at 8:30am when check out isn't til 11:00am and we had the do not disturb sign on.

It was nice that there was a dog beach within walking distance.

The location of the hotel is terrific - right next to Ocean Beach, and we really liked being able to walk to all the restaurants and shops in the Ocean Beach area.

Great location, place could be a Jewel with some attention to deferred maintenance.

Started off a little rocky, went in and talked to Nick and he fixed the issue He was amazing thank you so much Nick amenities the location. The pool was all worth it. You’re not there to sit in a hotel room. You’re there to go do stuff go to the beach so I had no issue with that at Nick fixed the problem that we had. Thanks again Nick you’re the best.

Cute little spot, perfect for pet owners, who love his little area to take walks. Is a little older than they are renovating, which is great. Would come here again.

Lame! Same as the first

Had to be transferred to a different room after the first room began to “ malfunction “. Bottom line. The shower head shot of the spigot which ended up pegging me right in the chest. Once moved from 42 to 43, we need to use several towels to catch and soak up the air conditioning drip the almost flooded the balcony. The cherry on top was the water in the toilet did not stop running

Great ocean 🌊 view property.

I stayed at the Ocean Villa for two nights. The first night, I had rowdy upstairs neighbors that woke me up at 5am and was not able to go back to sleep. Also, I did not have hot water and fan over toilet leaked the entire stay. I advised the morning staff believed one was the manager and both were not helpful. This place is showing its age. I would spend the extra money and stay elsewhere.

The staff was very nice and helpful and the pool looked nice but we didn't check it out, since we were right on the beach. The cleanliness of the pet friendly room could use some TLC. The room was not cute and decorated like the listed photos. It was dusty, dingy, and a bit dirty, which I wasn't that upset about since I brought my two dogs. There was some comfort in knowing I wouldn't have to worry about getting charges for any pet-related accidents or fur in the room/bed. The ceiling fan was very loud but so was the AC unit. I didn't mind the loud AC unit though, since it helped drown out the planes overhead and any other noises from neighboring rooms. The pet run connected to the pet friendly rooms was very handy for quick potty breaks but it was not a place to hangout. Since it's artificial turf instead of grass or another paw-safe alternative, it's makes it hard to clean up after your pet. There were many "marks" left on the turf that we had to avoid. Daily hosing off or replacing the turf with another surface would be ideal.

It was a very dissapointing experience. The pictures on the web DO NOT show the actual current condition at all!!!!!!

Lovely place

Room was clean and in nice shape. 2nd floor balcony view to beach and ocean was nice, unobstructed. Property was small, but enough parking for guests. Plenty of food choices for early or late night meals.

Definitely will be back
