Ocean Villa Inn

I chose this hotel for its proximity to the ocean in OB. While the room was in good shape, the air conditioner did not cool down the room one bit. Upon arrival, the room was hot. We turned on the air conditioner before going to dinner assuming the room would cool down while we were gone. We returned three hours later and there was little to no improvement in the temperature of the room. We stayed an hour in that room before we had had enough and stayed somewhere else. It was very disappointing.

Dirty and unsafe feeling. Our door had clearly been busted open previously. The back patio door lock was a joke. Bed was stiff with a paper napkin for a blanket. If it was $45 a night, it would be fine value but it’s simply overpriced for what you get.

The staff is friendly and helpful. The room seemed nicer in pictures but was not horrible, the place is a little sketchy due to the location its in, there is a lot of people who are in a street situation around those areas. That was the only thing we didn’t love, has a nice balcony view but sometimes you can see the people setting up their tents there or hiding out. The AC could be better. Had an amazing g breakfast truck out there! Benedict’s amazing 10000/10

Really great location, convenient yummy breakfast in the parking lot! The staff were friendly and helpful! The rooms were good for what they are, a little dated and had an unpleasant odor.

Location next 2 dog park excellent. Screen door was broken to get out to patio. Told us to keep it open all times. Really old and run down. Beds creaked and uncomfortable

It was an awesome location. Very close to Dog beach and North Ocean however it was disappointing paying $15 a day and still not promised parking. Was forced to walk everywhere because people took parking as soon as you left due to there not being enough spots.

Smells like dog urine. Not upgraded in many years. Bath fans do not function. Shower does not drain. Small kiddie pool with a few chairs. Air conditioner falling apart. Sounds like a plane taking off. Our chihuahua did not mind the smell. Convenient walkable location to everything.

Parking is not free it's $15 a night and hard to maneuver in and out of. There is a $30 pet fee that is non refundable. The room we were in was clean but very old, the TV was small and the AC unit struggled. We brought a box fan and that helped. We loved the dog run in the backyard but it's not sectioned off soooo other dog's will come visit. The dog wash station was super helpful and had shampoo that made my dog so clean and shiney The beach is in your backyard but thre were quite a few homeless people camping around. The whole town is dog friendly which we loved.

Location, location, location! One minute walk to the dog beach. Reserved parking on the property is a plus. Definitely a good place to stay with your fur babies.
