Ocean Villa Inn

Made the mistake and didn't a non pet unit. Our room smelled like wet dog.

The place is old and as its age shows. Parking is somewhat of a mess, but there is reasonable street parking in the near vicinity. The maid service for the room was slow and not awesome. Routinely, we were back to our room at 2 or 3 in the afternoon and our room had not been cleaned, etc. It's the beach, so there is sand everywhere and the floors are laminate wood, so you felt every grain of sand on your feet. It would have been nice if they had a broom in the room and I could sweep myself. Lastly, you get shampoo and one bar of soap, if you need more, plan on bringing it yourself. Overall, we'd go back. Easy to get around, lots of restaurants and bars nearby and downtown OB is a 10 min walk. Fun trip.

Great location love the area, just it been forgotten need attention the room was clean but the outside needs attention

Very disappointed with the room. We called it "the storage unit". No patio, no dog run for our 2 dogs, no closet, very small area to sit inside. Not as advertised. The only windows were on the entry doors and we had to keep the shades down for privacy so it was very dark. We booked months ahead arrived early for check in but when we asked why we got the small room we were told they were sold out, it was busy yet. Parking was tight and minimal and our car got dinged. TV remote was broken and WiFi was week. The only good thing was the location. Confirm your room when booking. You do not want the single digit rooms.

Exactly the location and size space we needed for our family of 5 and service dog. Shower and sink did not drain well so fast showers were needed. Being walking distance to the dog beach was ideal, with a nice view from the balcony. If planning on using the kitchenette will need to bring your own utensils, dish ware etc. Make sure to get breakfast at the benedict, and order ahead or plan to wait- but it is WORTH IT. Would stay again if we were in the area.

Beautiful view of the beach and staff was definitely very friendly, welcoming and helpful.

Sabastian at the front desk was very helpful. Help me get a parking spot and helped with all my questions. Stay there for two nights.

Other dog friendly hotels. They do have a dog wash area to hose off the sand from the dogs but find it not stocked with towels often. And the soap dispenser was broken. And the hose had a hold so it sprayed water in other directions. The dog run outside the rooms is extremely convenient.

Very short walk to the beach, nice heated pool, really great breakfast spot attached! We loved our stay here and will be coming back!

We ended up leaving before the night stay. The property was not pet friendly with the room we were provided. There was no dog run like I requested for. No place for pets to use the restroom. The room was bare and ugly and outdated. Terrible experience. Try to request another room at 7:30pm but no one was in the office. The office was closed. So we just left. Terrible experience super bummed because we really wanted to make this work with our pets.

Awesome for dog friendly place. Parking is not great. Pool was amazing and heated also open late. Beach is very close and lots of restaurants nearby to walk to. Great time for the dogs and kids

The only issue we had was we arrived at 7:30pm and there was a note on the door they would be back in an hour. We just wanted to get in our room and relax. Not sit in our car for another hour.

Nice view and location. Old rooms but still clean and comfortable.

Oh and there was vandalism in the room next to us, not sure if someone broke in or if it was the people that we’re staying there.. but the police were there investigating

The staff was super friendly and helpful. We moved from an older furnished room to an updated room, which was more expensive but much nicer. The downside was the amount of homeless people around the property.

Nice area. Great for pets. Warm pool. Great view on second floor of the beach area. Nice walking trails too👍 Walking distance to sports bars in area. Will stay here again 👍👍

if you don’t love dogs stay somewhere else tho. for real
