Our stay was acceptable at the Dana. Nothing spectacular and nothing horrible. The choice of two pools were nice. My heartburn comes from the additional resort fee that doesn't seem to provide any benefit that a non resort fee hotel provides, actually there are fewer benefits. Free coffee only lasts an hour and a half, very early in the morning. No breakfast unless you can afford to give away an extremity to feed a family. Overall it was a good place to stay but the resort fee is not valuable.

We enjoyed the tiki bar! Jacob the bartender was amazing! Location was amazing! I will come back to this hotel for sure :)

Such a good family hotel. So many activities for kids and still peaceful for adults. Bring your water bottle because the hotel has water for you everywhere (super convenient). We loved it and will be back.

Our go to for visits to San Diego. Pool was great property was walkable 5 minute drive to Belmont park and beach. Nothing compares to sitting on balcony and watching boats go by. Restaurant staff were great and accommodating. We hated leaving, but look forward to rebooking.

Good location , clean room and the staff was very helpful

Nice location, but basically a motel 6

The property was renovated in the last few years and so looks nice. The public areas are especially nice. The Firefly Restaurant has good food and the bar makes a variety of tasty drinks, both alcoholic and nonalcoholic. They have a pool especially for children that shows a movie every night and has activities for them during the day.

Way to expensive for what you get.

We always enjoy our stay as we have booked several times due to the incredible views of the bay and able to walk around the property and enjoying the property and surrounding sites. However there seems to be a lack of service at the restaurant where we have to wait for our check and see employees hovering around the hostess sound. Management should be more visible and visit tables and such.

There were a lot of hidden fees that were not mentioned. I brought 2 dogs and was told they would have a little care package which also didn’t happen. The pictures that were shown were of a completely different area of the property so the room we received was not very good.

The pools are excellent, always clean and at a great temperature, and the hot tub has consistently been open and working. The staff is friendly and welcoming, always greeting guests with a smile. The only area that could use a little improvement is the service at Firefly. Even when it isn't very busy, the wait can sometimes be longer than expected. That said, the food has always been very good, and on this trip they even made a special taco for my daughter, which we really appreciated. Overall, another excellent stay. We keep coming back for a reason and would definitely recommend The Dana to anyone visiting the San Diego area.

My family and I always stay at The Dana we love that they do movie night by the pool and they are always so nice.

housekeeping was excellent. The price for food and drink was ridiculous and the parking fee was absolutely ridiculous. That much to stay at a hotel.
