PodShare San Diego - Hostel

Dirty place., very limit shower and toilet.

Not actually a pod/capsule hotel. Bunk beds with not even a curtain and no privacy whatsoever. Listing says sound proofed private capsule which of course isn't true. You will have to see and hear everyone else sleeping next to you, and they will see you as you are all facing each other with no divider, curtain or door. Staff is rude and will yell at you and tell you to sit down and shut up and don't move from the couch until you've filled outnthe form a third time and hurry up do it "right now!" and "immediately!" threatening you. You're not even allowed back into the hotel to retrieve your luggage even tho you've already checked in twice less than an hour before, and your luggage is already inside. You cannot even retrieve your personal items until you "register" with their computer system no matter how many times you've already done it. Avoid this place.

It was great, very relaxing and quiet. It was just what I needed. In all honesty, not to cause an issue but my only qualm was the onsite management/overseer of the Pod. Could've been more personable & less rigid towards things. It wasn't just myself, but people coming into to stay thought I worked there & I caught a couple comments along the same. I want to be a good client and relay that for a better experience. Thanks again, I'm glad I found this sanctuary 😀 appreciate all your help within my stay. The owners/management via the PodShare number were exceptional with my extended stay, I will definitely recommend this for a most pleasant place to sleep. Thanks again!

I took the Amtrak from Los Angeles and it was a short walk through Italy Town.Very vibrant area..with a great location to the beach and wonderful restaurants. The check in was easy.The staff was kind and courteous. It's very peaceful and the beds are very comfortable. A wonderful kitchen area and many other places to relax..I highly recommend it!! It gives you enough privacy to feel comfortable and sleep well. I look forward to staying here again! The price is extremely reasonable for what you get.There is 2 bathrooms..one with a bathtub..very relaxing and quiet!! Nothing

Quite, Everyone seemed friendly. I slept well and my pod was very comfortable. Elle was great . She sent me all the information I needed and insured That my check in was a breeze. She also followed up to see how things were going and thanked me for staying. Very impressive. Thanks Elle. Rich.. I would return if I’m ever back this way. Please turn on some lights…

An interesting accommodation - all in all quite comfortable.

Great location. Was able to walk to a festival we were attending at waterfront Park. Safe, lots of restaurants within walking distance. Only negative thing was that my boyfriend and I booked a shared queen bed and when we got there, we were told it was not available so we had to bunk in separate beds. When we called the owner, she gave us attitude and offered to cancel our reservation if we weren’t happy. Could definitely use some customer service skills. However, the staff at the desk were very nice.
