Great location and friendly staff. We were upgraded to a bigger room upon arrival. We will be back!

Great historical hotel!

Located a few blocks from Petco and right in the Gaslamp Quarters. Perfect location. Place is older but well maintained. Price was great. Room size was ideal. Walking distance to everything downtown and waterfront. Not a fan of “resort” fees. Just a rip off all the hotels do. Didn’t try the restaurant. Limited hours. Bar was friendly. I will stay here again.

The staff was incredible, especially Victor. The location is great.

I love it here this is my new place to stay every time I visit. So close to everything.

A few lightbulbs were also burnt out. $62 for valet parking (only option) also seems unreasonable. Overalll - it’s a cute vintage hotel, but wouldn’t stay there again (many more options with better value for the money).

We really enjoyed the location, the entryway and the great little restaurant/bar. The rooms are old-fashioned, but they’re clean and they work, could use some updating when it comes to fixtures and overall appearance in the rooms.

Delightful unique hotel in fabulous Gaslamp district. Very walkable area. Lots of great restaurants. Staff was friendly and rooms were comfortable and clean. Come enjoy!

Very nice property and would stay again

We loved the location, but should have been more prepared for staying in a hotel that’s in an old building. We had to lug our stuff back to the front desk because the front desk didn’t tell us you had to lift the handle up and we thought the door was broken, which was very frustrating. The tub struggled to drain after our showers which felt pretty gross. The room opened to the courtyard, making the noise from the heavy chairs sound like they were happening in your room. The bed was comfortable. The towels felt like sand paper.

great location downtown central to everything, quiet street, easy to find, with parking nearby Had a little bit of a stale smell in the room, was fine though, just opened the window.

Exceptional

Went there with my 2 younger kids, and place was clean, staff was helpful and kind. Valet was a little expensive but the valet sir was very friendly. Location is close to everything. So much restaurants around. Will def come back if we ever visit san diego! :)

We had a lovely time

Valet was outsourced to LAZ parking we have stayed here multiple times because it’s conveniently located and last time we stayed they had a wedding so lots of delays, elevators were hard to access and worst of all we watched the elderly valet attendant damage my wheel by hitting a curb and it cracked my wheel. The car recorded a video of it. I made a report and my claim was denied. Very disappointing, very unprofessional, terrible experience I would never stay at this location again and valet is your only option and the attendants are not qualified to park your vehicles. The attendant admitted to damaging the wheel and checking to observe the damage yet they have still denied my claim for repair. Terrible and costly experience for me and we would not return to a place we once enjoyed because there are so many easily accessible places near this property but your vehicle will not be safe here with a geriatric man parking your vehicle and an outside contractor valet company that takes no accountability for their poor training and staffing of employees. Sucks Laz parking had to ruin this little spot for us.

Location, big rooms, comfortable beds, clean, friendly staff, charm of property. Liked everything.
