Only issue was the presence of many homeless and addicts on the street directly near hotel and that end of Market street. It was not a safe feeling at all.

Everything! No laundry or gym.

This is a very old hotel located in a sketchy zone on Market Street, but well connected area. If you need a very basic hotel for a night, then it's fine. However, if you are used to generic new hotels, the experience might be offputting.

The room was very antique yet cozy. Do know that there is zero parking nearby we walked about 7-10 minutes from a paid lot and the street was pretty rough, lots of homeless/rough people in the area. Aside from that aspect the hotel was unique, and worth the price. Wed stay here again if needed.

The rooms were clean, but small and the building is old and in need of updates. The rooms do not have microwaves or mini-friges. The door locks are real keys and you have to return them before exiting the property necessitating a visit to the front desk every time you enter or leave the property. The staff was friendly. The location is in a bad area of SF.

Passable

The location is great and very convenient. It’s within walking distance of Union Square and several tourist attractions. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was clean and comfortable. The hotel is a bit old, but it’s still comfortable and perfectly fine for a short stay.

Quiet, old-fashioned hotel in a sketchy part of town
-
Feels like a homeless shelter. Old and very rusty building with paint peeling from the walls.
-
Super cute place, loved the old school vibe and decor, felt very classic which I liked a lot. Simple place, comfy bed good shower Tv was fuzzy, other than that it was great
-
Kinda close to a lot of homeless people, but still was a great spot.
-
If you want friends or family to have easy access to your hotel, that will not be as easy - the front door is locked so the hotel staff must unlock the door for you and your people.
-
I liked that there a 24 hour desk person who held onto your keys whenever you left, and they would always let you bacj in no matter the time. Also loved the antique items inside of the lobby. Kinda close to a lot of homeless people, but still was a great spot.

Well.....this hotel is very old and has nothing other than a bed and a shower. 3 rooms before I got a TV that worked. Outside is very seedy and I had to ask a neighboring business where the place was. In the absolute worst part of San Francisco. No parking so I parked in a seedy lot around the corner and walked with my roller bag in and out of a couple of hundred people all wacked out on drugs and who knows what else. Absolutely not a safe place to stay!
