We also had an issue at check-in. I booked a room with one bed through Expedia and then upgraded to a double room and received a confirmation for that room type. However, when we arrived, we were assigned a room with only one bed. After going up to the room, we had to return to the front desk and then move to a different room. This was inconvenient, especially after a long day of travel. Since the room type I booked was confirmed, I don’t believe this should have happened. The biggest issue was that the elevators were out of service for the last night of our stay. I wouldn’t have been upset about this if the concierge hadn’t assured us that they would be repaired before checkout. Because of that, I expected to be able to use them and instead had to carry a suitcase and three bags down from the third floor without any assistance. I would suggest not promising that an issue will be resolved by checkout unless you’re confident it will be. Another inconvenience was the parking. I wanted to park a car at the hotel, but there were no spaces available, so we had to find parking elsewhere, which added unnecessary hassle to our stay. These issues significantly impacted our experience. Given the room assignment error and the inconvenience caused by the broken elevators, I believe some form of reimbursement or compensation would be appropriate

Clean rooms, decent breakfast, good cleaning service. The only downsides: both of the rooms were booked in the 5th floor smelled like sewers. The area is a not sketchy. Also, our coffee machines in both rooms didn’t work.

Staffs were amazing! Clean room housekeepers awesome. Wish we had a microwave in the room or a mini fridge. Went down once for breakfast it was ok.

Good location, friendly staff. The facility is really old, especially the lift.

The SoMa neighborhood doesn't feel very safe, and the parking is almost non existent. If you need to park in the city beyond your checkout time, I'd just find a nearby covered parking garage. The check in line moved so slowly with just one clerk that I nearly canceled our room, and we were nervous we'd end up in the motel part of the property. Thankfully our hotel rooms were in the actual secured part of the tower. The clerk was helpful with options when one of our rooms wasn't ready on time. The building doesn't match the "luxury, fully renovated" internet description. But the rooms were clean and comfortable. They're pretty worried about damage to the rooms, as they charge a security deposit higher than the cost of a night's stay. And based on the level of solo travelers and the hygiene issues of some of our fellow guests, it makes sense. There is no AC in the room, but you can open a window to open and we find the switch for a ceiling fan. Both of those can add to the noise, but the fan on a slower setting was quiet enough. So it all worked out well in the end.

Tur-quaz Eatery and bakery, Soma Social sports pub, and Yemeni coffee nearby. All excellent. Google Cast in rooms was convenient for TV w my phone.

Overall experience was not good
-
Room was ok but the bathroom sink being outside of the bathroom was annoying, especially when it’s a room with 2 double beds so privacy is likely required.
-
I like that it was close to everything. I didn’t like my room because the TV didn’t turn on; I told the staff as well and my bathroom had old woman’s underwear’s in the trash can. As well there was just no parking it was ridiculous. If you weren’t there on time u had to go park in public parking.

Very clean.

Great place and value....
-
Overall was good except the pool was across the st.
-
Old facilities made it hard to tell if the shower was clean and just old, or dirty. No AC and musty smell pervasive throughout the building.
-
STAFF was great PLEASE NOTE THERE IS NO AC in the rooms . You are staying near the tenderloin so if you are okay with homeless people every 3 feet then this spot is for you. Don’t let this review take away from the great staff at this hotel . Very knowledgeable and hospitality was great . I didn’t not get towels every night but hey you get what you pay for.

Nothing There is a mandatory additional $20 for the room ameneties which shouldve been added to the price so that guests will not be surprised of such hidden charge. Parking is really difficult and is $40 additional. The room has no A/C so the street is really very noisy when you open your windows.
