I was under the impression that they had continental breakfast, but when I arrived they only provided us with $10 coupons. They also charge $40 after your stay as their fee and valet parking is $68 per night. Best to find street parking or other nearby public parking. Overall, our stay was pleasant, but the misleading information on this platform (Expedia) needs to be fixed.

When booking their was breakfast included this was a reason for booking we booked four rooms and wanted to save with breakfast included but when arriving they told us just to let u know their is no more breakfast u can bring that up with Expedia the pool did not look like the the pictures and there property was not as clean and nice as posted restaurant inside had horrible service and still charged a mandatory 20% tip and on top we had to pay for parking 50 per vehicle also an unexpected fee so between having to pay 100 in parking and have to now buy breakfast for 12 was very inconvenient then it was very loud by 3 am we could not sleep way to loud until maybe 5 don’t know if it was delivery’s or what but never experienced anything like this

It is in a very sketchy part of the city. The breakfast is not included like it says online. The rooms have NO ac or air or anything. The rooms do not look like the photos online. Very horrible experience and everything seen is untrue and just a scam.

Before arriving, I requested reserved parking, two adjacent rooms on the fourth floor, and a late check-out. Unfortunately, none of these requests were honored, making it seem like guest requests are simply not followed. We arrived around midnight with our children and found there was no parking available. My husband spent nearly 90 minutes looking for street parking in what felt like an unsafe, dirty neighborhood. As parents, this was extremely stressful. Instead of placing our rooms together, one was on the second floor and the other on the fourth floor, forcing my husband and me to split up so one of us could stay with our children. The rooms also had no air conditioning, only ceiling fans, making the night uncomfortable. Although we were granted a 12:00 p.m. late check-out, housekeeping repeatedly knocked on both doors starting around 10:00 a.m., despite the “Do Not Disturb” signs. By noon, they were already rushing us to leave. Overall, the lack of communication, poor customer service, parking issues, uncomfortable rooms, and unsafe location made this one of the worst hotel experiences we’ve had. I would not stay here again and cannot recommend it to families or anyone looking for a safe, relaxing stay.

I don't usually write reviews about hotels. But this place is one big disappointment. First of all, don't be fooled by the photos. They were taken by a very professional photographer who knows how to make even this look good. The rooms are very old. The booking description says breakfast is included, but that’s not true. They’ll give you two $10 vouchers, even if you’re not a couple but traveling with kids, like we did. And the prices for this breakfast will be higher than elsewhere. Also, if you show up half an hour before breakfast ends, they’re unlikely to serve you. They simply won’t take your order, claiming that breakfast ends half an hour before it actually does. Haha. The rooms themselves are old; the pool looks clean, but it doesn’t look anything like the photos. The location is a whole other story. I wouldn’t go back here with kids.

This hotel is located in a very bad neighborhood. Hotel parking is extremely expensive; they take advantage of the unsafe area to charge high rates. Their website states that breakfast is included, but that isn't the case. You only get two $10 vouchers per room, even if the room accommodates four people. You will have to pay an additional $30 or so per person for breakfast. It is better to choose a different neighborhood and a more expensive hotel, as you will end up paying more here.

Deposits on rooms are good to protect the hotel. However, so is a front desk agent who has the ability to make a call due to unfortunate and unforeseen events, to lower or remove. They don’t have such. Hoping that they had a GM that knew how hurtful a bad review would be, they didn’t. This property is not about the guest and retention, they are about money at the expense of a guest. No hospitality here!

Everyone was so helpful and friendly!
-
There is confusion about the food vouchers. It should be noted in the beginning that only one voucher a day per room, not occupant, is accepted. We were not the only ones to complain about the confusion.

Location was convenient as i was attending a conference.

Definitely not a good place to stay!

Room cleaned regularly, coffee machine in room flooded the machine so couldn't use it. Bar nice and lively with a good selection of food and drink. Lots of TV screen to watch sport on which worked for us. Nice clean and comfy beds, pool clean and towels provided. Looks like they are trying to clean up the surrounding area as there is clearly a homeless and drug issue although there was never any begging or threatening behaviour. Watch out for dog mess on the streets too mind.
-
The room that we had did not have good lighting or air. The swimming pool was not what we thought it was going to be. You couldn’t watch the TV from the beds only the couch.

Enjoyed our stay

The only free thing was a coffee, and a croissant

We stayed here for 5 days (2 adults 2 teenagers). At check in we were told there is no contention breakfast since the restaurant is now open and we have a $10 off credit which we never used. When we got to the room, there was no microwave and no fridge. There was no ac just a ceiling fan. We couldn't even open the window because it was screwed shut. That was awesome! The pool was okay. The beds weren't the best. The bathroom door didn't shut unless you slammed it. The hot water was never hot more like lukewarm. For the money we spent, I had higher hopes and the photos posted by the hotel are misleading. The hotel is in a sketchy neighborhood. Learn from our mistake and stay somewhere else.

My family, (sons 19, 17, and daughter 13) my husband and I slept 3 nights. We enjoyed the new attached restaurant for dinner. We had to ask for hand and facial soap. They have a guard outside 24/7. There are homeless people everywhere in San Francisco including in SOMA. The secure key entrances and for the elevator made my family feel safe. Great clean bedding and fresh fun wall paper in the bathroom.

Easy to access and parking was quick and easy and safe via valet. There was a conference in town so pricing was marked up compared to what I would have thought Soma House would have been. It met our basic needs, but I wanted more for the price.
-
The room was very noisy - zero soundproofing! It felt like a herd of horses was living on the floor above. Given that I paid triple the price for accommodation during the IT summit, I was very dissatisfied; it wouldn't be worth it even at the standard rate.
-
It was an average to good hotel. Do I think it is worth the money? No. But location is everything.
