Really good food in the restaurant. The room was spacious

We called ahead and asked for a room upgrade, and they assured us the change was made and we could pay at check-in. We were then told at check-in no Deluxe rooms were available (and we learned this exact situation happened to other visitors too.) we asked why they would have made it sound like the room was confirmed for us, and were simply told “it’s a busy weekend.” Disappointed, we followed up on our mini fridge request that was also noted in the reservation. The manager assured us he’d “take care of it.” After doing a grocery run, we came back and found no mini fridge—which sucks for the snacks we just bought. We went downstairs to ask again for the fridge, and found someone filling a complaint that their laptop had been stolen by housekeeping (caught in the act.) Can’t verify whether that’s actually what happened…but there were lots of disgruntled guests either way. Some complaining about brown water or lack of hot water. We’re never noticed those issues in our room, but I’d believe it. And some very interesting characters surrounding the hotel too. Now the room itself wasn’t terrible but it was definitely old and lacking in amenities. Overall: the lack of care or concern from the front desk made us feel unsafe. We’re ended up switching (thanks Expedia!) as we didn’t want to risk spending a night and find out how bad it could get.

The room is spacious, however, there’s no AC and the big window by the walkway that most rooms have makes it difficult to have a late morning sleep as you are able to hear every noise outside the window.

Great stay as always, the staff are helpful and place is clean and vallet parking is safe.

The location it was great convenient tour I needed to go The restroom in my room was kind of small bathroom door would hit the toilet. You cannot keep the shower door open or the bathroom door open at the same time cause they would connect parking. it was a little bit expensive.

Homeless people after dark

A friend of mine was harassed by the overnight staff. I have friends stop by and visit me when I stay there, my friend Tito was forced to sign in. The last person who signed in was on 9/7. I do not appreciate the harassment and blatant discrimination.

Our family stay was very satisfying, we did enjoied the food, and the pool was very comfortable.

Very nice accommodations right in the middle of many of the sites to see. Not far from Fishermans wharf and Lombard Street. I would recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

The location was good, a good price for the rooms. The restaurant downstairs was good. And the most of the staff were friendly and welcoming. I didn’t like the false advertisement. There was no AC in the room and it was extremely hot. We had to keep the door open for so air. We called downstairs and the one thing they offered was a stand up fan. I saw some rooms having AC but we weren’t offered one of those. There was no mini fridge and we had to call them again to bring one up. Lastly, there was no complementary pastries and drinks. We were instead give a one time $10 off for the restaurant.

I liked how accessible it is. the room was too small, there is only a fan, paying for parking.

The restaurant is really good. The rooms have been updated, so they are comfortable. Parking is valet-only, and cost extra per night. That was the only thing I didn't like. We would stay there again.

The SoMa Social Bar that’s inside the hotel is absolutely amazing and worth trying, the hotel staff was super friendly but there was a little miscommunication regarding fees, the pool and gym were great, the gym was nice, and the parking was great

Soma House was good. Clean with decent rooms, breakfast and a rooftop pool. It's not fancy, but is was sufficient. The neighborhood is a little undeserable, but not terrible. We felt safe at the property.
