Beresford Arms Hotel

The location was central and great to shopping, rental cars, restaurants, tour bus pickups 1-1/2 blk walk, and cable car availability. The hotel lobby was nostalgic but needs some updating. Only continental breakfast offered would be nice to see a full breakfast or hot breakfast sandwiches available. The room was musty smelling, carpets were old and needed vacuuming and / or replaced, cleaned due to smell. The bathroom should be completely remodeled. Old jacuzzi tub with sliding glass door, track was moldy, vanity was so low , needs a complete remodel. Beds were horrible, coil spring mattress, which I asked to be exchanged for newer mattresses. Management did honor our request. Tv was small, 24" tucked away inside an armoire dresser with 4 channels. No laundry facilities, housekeeping was not up to par. Room furniture was dusty. Towels were replaced daily. Upgrades needed to have me go back. Front desk staff and management were excellent and helped with tour discounts and luggage hold.

The staff were lovely and extremely kind. Offer of breakfast, wine and cheese in the afternoon. I also love the internal features and general atmosphere.

Horrible customer service needs to be updsted completely my privacy was in vades a overall horrible neighborhood with violence all around Everything was horrible on my birthday

We stay a week. Beautiful hotel, but could get any sleep because Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday night we were woke up at midnight and kept awake till 4:00 ish in the morning by loud obnoxious music. They staff said they could not do anything about it. So vacation was rude by not getting enough sleep.

Charming European feel.

Location, close to all SFO tourist spots. It was huge and clean apartment. Some weird smell in the whole lobby plus its too loud in the mignight ofcourse the hotel is in city center. Parking was costly 66 dollars

The hotel is in a great location and our room size was huge compared to a lot of San Francisco hotels. We loved the traditional history of the building and wouldn’t hesitate to stay again. Nothing, everything was great for us.

Friendly staff. The afternoon wine and cheese was a pleasant surprise. Everything was clean. Fridge did not close properly and the iron leaked.

Excellent place, but they need to add salty options in the breakfast! Some people need because of low blood pressure!

The hotel is absolutely beautiful and the staff are so kind. Our beds were comfortable and our room was sparkling clean. There is some noise from the streets around the building- but this is to be expected in a large city and a building built in 1910. The location is perfect for exploring SF. We walked to the wharf in about 35 minutes - which also takes you on some of the best street views of the city. I never felt unsafe once and the hotel location had very few homeless nearby. An Uber home back from downtown was approx $19. Absolutely would stay again!

Room,quiet,kitchen,fan

This hotel was exceptionally clean. The staff was pleasant and mostly helpful. They forgot my wake up call in the morning.

Nice breakfast and happy hour but our shower was moldy on the tiles

This hotel is a lovely hotel. Whilst dated, the staff were really nice and the extra touches on offer were appreciated. The room was very clean and comfortable. However, the noise outside our room was unbearable and similar to attending a DJ set at 2am. Whilst the area is busy with traffic, the loud dogs, ladies screaming at Mr DJ and the constant Fire Engines passing made it a really disrupted night. If you had a room at the back of the hotel, perhaps it wouldn’t be as bad. Shame as it’s obvious how much effort the team go into making this hotel special.
