Convenient location, good parking, room was nice, clean and comfortable. The room fronted on Lombard Street so it was pretty noisy till the bars closed.

The hotel and our room were very clean and well maintained. The room was basic, even a bit larger than I had anticipated. The window opened which I loved to get some fresh air. We ended up loving the Wharf area, and this hotel was about a 30 minute walk there, or there is a bus stop right outside that will bring you there. Overall, we loved our time here.

At time of departure could not locate cart to take luggage to car. Asked staff said wait 5-10 min if not there could get a second one. We ended up making 3 trips to car and luggage cart never showed up and that took at least 25 min. Staff should have gotten us the 2nd cart and not asked us to wait!!

Good sized rooms. Excellent location. Muni stop and Big Bus tour stops directly in front of the hotel. Many restaurants, corner stores, bars, and clubs nearby. Easy access to nearly any part of the city. Provided toiletries. Hot water for long showers never ran out. Housekeeping services upon request. Even though it is an active hub of the city, it was relatively quiet and none of us had trouble sleeeping. Could see a glimpse of the Golden Gate Bridge from our window. Would definitely recommend to stay here.

Good value would be nice if they had mini fridges.

Very nice service, staff and very clean beds…in my opinion this is a nice place to stay.

Clean and well maintained. Nothing too fancy. No frills. But free parking? In San Francisco? A rare gem on that front. This place is a penny pinchers paradise in a great with many bars and restaurants- easily stumbling distance away

Great staff spacious room

Decent room, but dated.
-
So it was in a convenient location with that being said it was also noisy from the people outside it’s pretty clean and the big draw to it is free parking without feeling like your paying for it with the room price overall I’ll be back
-
You need to ensure you have plans for meals as the place does not offer free microwave or fridge. These are purchased separately which was different from what I always find as standard in other similarly priced hotels.
-
Ok hotel for the price but be warned if your room faces Lombard street and it is the weekend- Between the crowd of people in front of the bars, the music, and the traffic it can get loud and will keep going until about 2:30am. Bring earplugs or headphones or ask to be moved to another room.

This is a great place to stay when visiting SF. The location is perfect and the free underground parking was a huge benefit. It isn’t the kind of place to stay if you want to hang out at the hotel, but if you’re like me and pretty much only sleeping there, it is perfect. The staff was very friendly and the room was very clean and comfortable.

We were put in a room directly across from a bar/club loud music in our room until 2pm. The bathroom outdated and rundown.
-
The rooms are old, but with enough space. The space in the bathroom was a real plus. Parking was difficult due to the cramped space, but at least it was available. The person checking us in was not that great, but the checkout was easy.
-
It has its shortcomings. While the bathroom was large and clean, the water pressure for the shower was weak, and setting the right temperature took some precision. The AC unit made odd noises, though it worked fine. One of the bulbs in the overhead lights was out. Also, note there's no fridge or microwave (at least not in the room I had). Those are all relatively minor quibbles. All in all, this is a fine moderately priced hotel for the Marina. It'll remain on my short list of places to check next time I'm in the city.

My only thing is that it's time for some renovations for things like the bathtubs. But it was a great stay and nice staff

We really enjoyed our stay at Chelsea Inn! The location could not have been better. We had multiple bus stops within a block. There were plenty of great restaurants and a grocery close by. The room was nice and comfortable, and other than the noise from the street on the weekend, it was fairly quiet.
