We really enjoyed our stay at Chelsea Inn! The location could not have been better. We had multiple bus stops within a block. There were plenty of great restaurants and a grocery close by. The room was nice and comfortable, and other than the noise from the street on the weekend, it was fairly quiet.

Close to lots of fun places to eat A little noisy from bars etc at night
-
front desk woman over night has serious attitude and not helpful and very rude and couldn't speak well English pay a couple more dollars and have a nice helpful staff even at night!!

Needs a facelift for sure. But does the job.

Great location, was clean staff was really nice Older looking not up to date

The room had a nice view of the hill with buildings. Parking was easy and provided. Very walkable location. The room seemed a little outdated and could be deep cleaned. The room was not super dirty, but not all areas seemed super clean.

Good location and parking included. A small fridge would be nice.

Staff was very very nice Bathroom could have been cleaner

I washed my T-shirt during my stay and hung it to dry using the wooden hangers provided inside the room. Once fully dried, noticeable yellow stains were left all over my clothing, which clearly came from dye bleeding off the raw wooden hangers. I contacted hotel staff to resolve this issue, yet their response was unreasonable and unprofessional. They insisted it was entirely my fault, claiming their hangers are not designed for damp laundry. The staff adopted an arrogant and rigid attitude, refusing to take any responsibility and declining compensation for my damaged clothes. Basic room amenities should be practical and safe for guests’ daily use. The hotel failed to remind visitors about the drawbacks of wooden hangers beforehand, and they evade accountability after causing property loss. I cannot recommend this accommodation to future travelers.

Free parking in San Francisco was worth its weight in gold. We had a King room. The bed was too firm and bouncy. If someone moved around, you can feel it. There was one thin blanket with a waffle design which could be felt if we kept the bedspread on top of us. Not sure why but the King room has no refrigerator. I was able to get one for $5/day. I’m not sure if other rooms had microwaves but our room didn’t. It seems that’s a given these days. There was one combo outlet/USB charging device for 2 USB A ports on one of the nightstands. USB C is now becoming the world standard. If you want to relax watching tv, don’t bother. The channel selection was abysmal. Also no options to mirror or cast.

very good, front desk is nice N/A

Location and secured parking Bathtub was dirty. Had stains and mold. Bedspreads and shams need to be updated and cleaned. Bar across the street was so noisy. People were fighting and screaming both nights of our stay. Not Chelsea’s fault but just be aware.
-
Quiet, clean, easy check in, nice staff. About 2X price in the past. We needed the one night for an appointment.
-
Will definitely stay again!

Location free parking convenience The person at the front desk made us feel like we were truly an inconvenience. No welcome of any kind.

Location, parking, convenience, friendly staff, good value. The towels and linens are a little rough and some towels don’t pass the ‘fresh’ smell test …
