No gym, they have access to a 24hour fitness but that’s further away. Only valet parking for $75!

Very good hotel
-
staff were great. good location for a great price, but place is described as historic because it’s old and looks worn down.

The hotel was surprisingly great! I didn't expect too much but did a thorough dive into the reviews. Every review was pretty positive and I could see why. I took a chance and felt super pleased with the friendly service to the super spacious rooms. I can't say enough about how helpful and friendly the staff were. I left my jacket after checkout and the young lady working the front desk went out of her way to help me recover it! The coffee shop located downstairs was also a HUGE hit with my family. The walk to Macy's was safe and close. There is also a Walgreens on the corner that was convenient for snacks and anything you may have forgotten. The hotel is a little older but that's what gives it its charm. The rooms are clean and beds are comfortable. They could use more pillows in my opinion. The bathroom has a tub and water pressure from the shower was great. Valet parking is a little pricey (80+) but you can self park ($50) and the location is close. Overall it was a pleasant stay and I would stay again.

Bar area was beautiful Elevator was super small; some small bites to eat in the bar other than just popcorn would be a definite improvement
-
I liked that we were able to get a record player and type writer.
-
If your traveling alone or with a S/O, I highly recommend this place.
-
A cute little artsy super hip hotel and a nice change from boring everything white hotel rooms. Front desk staff are wonderful and oh so friendly! The hotel bar service could use some improvement tho, it was super slow and we waited half hour for two drinks and it wasn’t even busy, also it isn’t air conditioned in the bar area.
-
Location and room size were ideal! Upgraded to a King room when we checked in which was appreciated. Amenity fee seemed misleading as there were not really any amenities besides WiFi which was expected from a four star hotel. Surprised there wasn’t any security to get into the elevator straight from the street. Overall, more like a three star hotel.

Near that size.

Staff were very kind to us, and gave us an unexpected gift to celebrate our engagement. It was clean. It had all the basics, which was fine by us. While the small hotel did not have a restaurant as such, there was a small place to get breakfast to take away, plenty of restaurants nearby, as well as a 7-eleven. The bar was quieter than I expected, and drinks expensive for a tourist who doesn't earn a US salary. It is located right beside the Tenderloin, so lot of people doing the fentanyl fold outside. There wasn't a place to eat at the hotel or a gym like there would be in a bigger hotel, but we knew this in advance.

The double beds are very small doubles.
-
Wonderful, convenient neighborhood. Tons of things to do from there.
-
Motion detector light is super annoying especially in middle of the night. Location good but a bit sketch
-
Great staff, cute literary vibe. Pretty ideal location for Chinatown/embarcadero/oracle park. Safe neighborhood.
