location is great. The room is small, but for the price and location, it's fantastic. I had booked twin beds, which are a bit small. Charger are still USB-A, which seems a chronic issue in the US. Also, the plugs next to the bed switched off with the light, so charging phones overnight was a mess. This isn't ideal and is not marked anywhere.

I love older hotels, they have history and arn't just plastic hype. My room was clean and smelled clean. The hallway was from another age and so were the staircases so very pleasing. They have an elevator and a dumb waiter. I used the elevator (no worries). Yes, vintage hotels have differences because they are old and that appeals to me. I don't think this hotel had amenities like a weight room or swimming pool. I didn't care because that isn't important to me so didn't notice or ask. I use a hot spot (for privacy and better upload speeds) and a lap top so no idea about their wifi. I wanted a hotel that was central to the area I needed for a meeting. There were several options for public transportation (I used Bart from SFO and then the bus system). There were many local places to eat (I loved the Diner on Geary and Mason. And I did see some interesting music venues all within walking areas. The folks at check in were knowledgeable about local sites and buses. Ticked all the boxes for me. But I am not a "bright young thing" who wants social media hits. Not against that but want comfort and convenience.

Excellent value and great location; would definitely stay again and recommend to others.

Rooms are very small. depending on which site you look at amenities are different than when you check in., they do a $250 deposit they actually remove or charge you then return it upon checkout. there is no breakfast as stated.

N/a Took a long time to be able to check in. Not the workers fault tho, there was a big group having problems before us.

Did not stay here. The area was very interesting. There was no parking and deposit way more than the Hilton. So went back to the Hilton.

Great location but failed to honor my Travelocity reservation. Upon call to confirm late arrival, they claimed they did not have my reservation. Once I arrived, they found it but then claimed they had no Queen-bed room, so I took what was available, which was a re-purposed cot on wheels made to look like a twin bed. It was awful. For my second night, I renewed my request for a Queen bed but was told I could only get it if I agreed to pay more. Deeply disappointed that I did not get the room that I was promised through my Travelocity reservation. Anyways, it's well located and has a cool retro vibe, but I probably won't stay there ever again.
