Hotel Julian

Charged a daily fee for cleaning etc, and the room wasn't cleaned during my 3 night stay.

I was originally going to stay at Superhero Hotel but they cancelled me last minute due to them overbooking. Luckily Hotel Julian came in clutch and I am so glad they did. Hotel is adorable with vintage vibe and I really enjoyed it. The front desk was great and I would love to stay there again. The area is alright but a short walk to stuff to do.

Good Hotel

Overall it was a good stay. The front door to the room was misaligned and hard to get opened and closed. Our shower door also didn’t close. We had to shower with the door open so that was uncomfortable.

Reasonable and budget friendly price, get free coffee and pastry. The location was a good.

Great hotel to be in overall!

There's a gym on the premises & a wine bar connected to the breakfast area. There's a laundrymat two doors down & a quick excellent inexpensive breakfast spot right across the street. The staff is very helpful & friendly. Centrally located to get around, walk, public trans or cab. The rooms are clean as well. Enjoy your stay.

This hotel is good - it's just not in a great location (lots of homeless wandering the surrounding streets).

Clean room at a good price

The hotel is within walkable distance (about 15 min walk) to Union Square and the bus stations. The room is clean and modern with very comfortable plush beddings and pillows. The service is average with cleaning toward late afternoon if you want. The elevator was broken on the first day when we got there but we were ok to carry our own luggages to the 3rd floor since we have small luggages and physically fit. I think the hotel will help up carry the bags up if we ask. Their bar at the lobby looks relaxed and pretty and their water filtering machine looks new (crisp and cold) and convenient. This hotel is great for the price range in San Francisco and we will come back again.

Extremely friendly staff. Room was clean and nice. Only negative was the area, which wasn’t even bad. Just be aware of your surroundings because if you are planning on walking around, a few bad turns and you could end up in some not so nice areas. But that could be said for a lot of SF. Would definitely stay here again.

Angela and Liam were AMAZING to work with, they were both very helpful and knowledgeable about the area and recommended nearby restaurants and things to do. I would definitely stay again, the hotel was very clean and well maintained. The only reason I'm not giving it a five star rating is because there was no mini fridge in any of the rooms.
