The hotel rooms are small but very cozy; the hotel appears to have been converted from an anciend building.The room had everything necessary; I especially liked the fairly large fridge and the microwave, large TV and excellent Wi-Fi, and there was always coffee available at reception.We also liked that it was very clean; the room windows faced the courtyard, so there was absolutely no street noise. The room featured new bathroom fixtures, an iron, and even a heater. We stayed there in late September 2026. We arrived at 6:00 PM and couldn't get into the hotel for quite a while. We rang the bell, but apparently, there was no one at the reception desk. After some time, guests leaving the building opened the door for us.

I liked how available the rooms were. The size and comfort for the price.

The location of the hotel was perfect. It was loud all hours of the night and morning. There were kids always hanging out front smoking and playing loud music almost always blocking the way to get in.

Was in SF for Dreamforce conference. I had a great stay and a very pleasant experience overall. The staff was extremely helpful, friendly, and caring throughout my visit. The housekeeping staff did an amazing job every day keeping the room clean and comfortable. The bed was very comfortable, my bathroom had nice hot water, clean towels everyday, free Wi-Fi worked well, and I had everything I needed during my stay. I really appreciated how welcoming and helpful everyone was. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it!

It doesn’t look like much from the outside, but it’s a decent property once you get in your room, which are clean comfortable nice beds good shower having a refrigerator. Microwave is also nice and it wasn’t too noisy. I was pleasantly surprised. The stairs are a little tough to navigate although they have a old elevator. If you have a lot of luggage, it might be too demanding to walk up any stairs. They’re very narrow. The neighborhood is a bit sketchy and you have to park ion the street

This is my third time staying at the Mithila Hotel. I chose it because it has everything I require for a stay of a week or so. Even the standard room comes with fridge, microwave, and private bathroom (with bathtub), and you are 3 blocks from Trader Joe's for groceries. I requested a quiet room facing away from the street and heard little to no noise. The staff are attentive and helpful. The only thing is if you have mobility problems you do have to climb the front steps (about 6 steps) to the entrance, and there aren't grab bars in the bathrooms. I am in my 70s and had no problems. There is a very nice elevator that you operate yourself.

I reserved this room specifically because they list on-site valet parking. There is a big sign in front saying they offer valet parking, Guess what they don't offer? Valet parking. My son was driving to the city by himself for the first time and we were trying to make getting around as easy as possible (i.e. valet the car for the duration of the trip). Really wished the information was accurate on Hotels.com and in front of the hotel.

Very nice little hotel for folks on a budget. The hotel itself is very old style San Francisco Edwardian, but the rooms were very clean and modern. The staff was friendly but we didn’t see them a lot. The neighborhood is very walkable with access to restaurants and amenities. We would definitely recommend it to folks.

Honestly I didn’t know how to feel going into my experience here based off the other reviews but I was thoroughly impressed! Keep in mind, I am in my mid 20’s and came with friends to enjoy nightlife and tourist-y things in the city. The location was perfect, it wasn’t bougie in the slightest and if you prefer more upscale hotels I wouldn’t recommend this to you. But if you are someone like me who is coming for the memories and want a nice, comfortable and super convenient place to stay, I highly recommend this place. I promise I’m not some random bot I really just felt there weren’t many middle ground reviews of this place. Maybe it was the memories I made that let me view the hotel in a great light, but I honestly would stay here again 100%.
