FOUND Hotel Carlton, Nob Hill

It was nicer than I expected. I spent my time in the city walking around. Some parts were a bit shady, but nothing bad happens if you just keep walking. The staff at the hotel were the best! I forgot her name but there was one lady that made our time there really great. Overall everyone was very nice. The room was great. The only thing was the elevator getting packed at times since they were quite small. I’d still rate it a 9.5/10

Great location, centrally located to most attractions, the room was clean and comfortable! This hotel has all the basic needs for a quick trip.

It was the perfect blend of experiencing San Francisco in a realistic way rather than it feeling like just a vacation. I’m a city type of guy so it gave me the hustle and bustle of living in the city with a mix of perfect spots to explore. My friend and I had a blast.

The property was clean and the staff was helpful. It is close to a bus stop. There are bars and restaurants close to the hotel.

Good hotel, squarely between nob hill and the tenderloin. The keypad on one of our rooms was a bit finicky, which we didn't enjoy, but otherwise the rooms were clean and well maintained. Due to its location it's a bit loud at night, which wasn't an issue for my husband and I, but bothered my mom, who's less comfortable in cities. There was a security guard at night, and the hotel felt very safe to us. No parking, but easy walk to several BART stops and stations, which is inexpensive and efficient. You can walk to the wharf if you're in fair to middling shape, almost entirely downhill.

The only issie I had was that you can hear the people in the next room talking. So it was hard to get to sleep. The walls seem "thin" in this hotel. Stayed here before and same thing. Could almost hear the conversation. City noise is always an issue but thats not the hotels fault. A garbage truck doing something woke me up at 4:30am. Loud banging and glass breaking for about an hour. Wasnt sure what it was. Other than that, the place was clean and bed/pillows very comfortable. Riom was a good temperature. The staff is super friendly. Ill continue to use this hotel.

over a hundred yr old hotel so it was not the modern hilton but had everything travelers need. sf was hot so ac would help but i understand ac will be added shortly i wad an enjoyable stay

The cleaning crew comes every other day and the day she came she didn’t swept the floors you can see some of the hairs, she fix our bed and leave clean towels

Easy place to stay at for the short term whilst on a long weekend
