FOUND Hotel Carlton, Nob Hill

The shower was awesome... The neiborhood... too much dirty street smell... homeless people... dirty streets... I didnt feel safe

No air conditioning in room. Had to keep windows open at night and heard street people screaming at each other; sirens; city noise. Bad sleep. No room phone, no coffee maker. Microwave in the lobby to use but coffee maker was down. No real amenities but for the price of the stay, I suppose I would stay again and make do.

Room was good size and closed to public transportation/but unfortunately our room never got serviced when it was in the list to be cleaned

What I don’t like is that there is no parking.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is easy to get to and close to a great variety of restaurants and public transport. Room could have been cleaned a bit better.

The rooms were clean, reasonably spacious, and the hotel is in a good location. I had an ADA-room, so there was little more space and multiple hand holds in the shower. Overall, I liked the room, and would likely come back.

Coffee maker wasn't working in the lobby. The refrigerator wasn't working, so told the front desk. Said they were gonna send someone to look at it. Went out, came back still not working. I had to move the dresser to find out it wasn't plug in. Wasn't trill, wouldn't stay here again.

The room and good and quiet. All the hotel is clean. The staff was very friendly. The location is surrounded by not nice places. However, downtown is not that gar.

My room did not have a closet and only 2 small drawers. There was no chair, just an ottoman. My hand towel was stained. On the plus side, the staff was friendly and helpful.

Pros: Great location for our needs, front staff was very helpful, friendly, and accommodating storing luggage after checkout. The room was clean and all the bedding was really nice cotton. Cons: The room was to be cleaned and new towels every 2 days, but on day 3 we just went to the front desk and got new towels ourselves as no one had come even after requesting new towels. Not a hardship, but still… No coffee machine in the room, nor was coffee available in the lobby, bur were told the coffee maker had broken but they were getting a new machine in a few days. Still no coffee maker in the lobby when we left after our 5th night.

Housekeeping was offered only every other day, which was inconvenient to begin with. Because of my schedule, I asked whether my room could be cleaned early on a housekeeping day. The front desk employee with red hair was chatting with a friend who had stopped by, and I had to interrupt their conversation to ask. She said rooms for departing guests were cleaned first and couldn’t accommodate my request. I ended up without a cleaning during my stay. I had another interaction with the same front desk employee with red hair when I went to collect my luggage. I waited at the desk for awhile, then gave her my claim ticket. She told me I could get the bag myself. I said, “Oh, self-service?” She replied that they just match the tags, then said, “I hope you have a better day,” in a tone I found very sarcastic. Both interactions made me feel as though asking for help was an inconvenience to her. The room served its purpose, but the housekeeping schedule and those service interactions left a poor impression.

Room was big and decor was nice and minimal. No coffee machine as stated, our room smelled bad.

Neighborhood little bit less safe.

Staff are Nice and helpful. The room size is good. Amenities are okay. No coffee maker. The closet where the iron/ironing board smells like cigarette smoke. The walls are thin, so you could hear conversations from the room next to you.

This property was perfect. Great clean and comfortable rooms, and of a good size too. Lovely
