Nob Hill Hotel

Hotel is visually pleasing from the outside as well as common areas, there is a nice coffee machine I accidentally left behind a big bag of toiletries and other items in my room. I came back the next day asking if the housekeepers may have found it. I understand that sometimes things get lost or discarded by accident and it's my fault that i left it behind. However the bag was very heavy and contained makeup, full-size bottles of shampoo. I'm a housekeeping manager so I am aware of how the procedures go for lost and found items. Any items that are not travel sized bottles or obvious garbage are always reported and logged by the housekeeper. The man at front desk was not very helpful from the start. I informed him what i left behind in the room and what my room was as well as the name on the booking. He had a sarcastic demeanor that gave me the vibe that he did not intend on helping me. It felt as if he felt like I was fabricating this information to get free lost and found items. He asked my room number but didn't check my ID to see when my booking was or verify that I stayed with them. I described the bag very well (usually you don't need that detailed of a description, for the item gets logged with a room number and date found along with item description) but I described it in detail anyway before being asked and he continued to ask me to add more detail. That along with the way he was speaking to me was why it felt more like a questioning suspicion rather than him trying to help me, especially since he didn't attempt to verify my booking. He then went somewhere to check for it which took all of about 20 seconds. It's possible he did actually check but given the interaction it felt like he didn't intend on finding this for me. The hotel I work at keeps items for 90 days so the guest is able to claim it so i will try for a third time to get my things back. I think this hotel needs to improve their procedures for lost and found items, whether its in the housekeeping department or front desk.

Stayed one night and would stay again without hesitation. Although our room was small, it was cozy and sufficient. No surprises as pictures and description of the hotel, rooms, and area were factual and we were not disappointed. Valet service and continental breakfast were a plus.

The decor was lovely The location was ok, but had to walk through some dodgy blocks to get to downtown

A very convenient location but be prepared to park in a $70/night parking garage if you drive anything but a sedan. I was under the impression that they have onsite parking. And valet doesn’t park “oversized vehicles”. Mind you it’s a Tacoma. But other than that, we enjoyed our stay. Rooms are as small as you’d expect for San Francisco. Cute vibe. And a helpful front desk who recommended where to park our truck full of camping gear.

Overall, a very pleasant stay at Nob Hill. Lovely room, really nice and spacious bathroom. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to take advantage of the on-site valet parking because they stopped service at 10 p.m. and we got in late, but the front desk pointed us in the direction of a nearby parking garage, which was very helpful. Would book again!

The place is in a good location. A few small improvements could make this better. My fridge was inaccessible due to the way the doors were installed and its placement against the bed. The water for the shower took a very long time to get hot. Also, the carpet on the stairs was in very bad shape. With that being in the lobby it gives the place a bad look. Otherwise the housekeeper did a great job and I had what I needed.

Beautifully remodeled, nice location. Loved the views of the city. Parking situation was a little hard.

Location and very helpful staff. Tiny rooms and breakfast was mediocre worth plastic plastic plates and cutlery.

The hotel rooms have no air conditioning. They have ceiling fans and a heater.
