The hotel is in a great location and the rooms have everything you need. Coffee is downstairs 24 hours a day (Keurig, so it is always fresh for you), and the bar has wonderful cocktails for the end of the evening. I highly recommend this hotel.

Older hotel, but renovated and kept up with. Staff were wonderful. I would definitely stay again.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Majestic as a solo woman traveler. The staff were so helpful, the room was stunning, the waffles were delicious! I loved how easy it was to walk to Japantown. This is a fantastic classic SF hotel with all of its whimsy. You can tell the folks who run it put a lot of love into it. It’s an older hotel, but clean and comfortable. Cozy even! In the best way. I worked from my room and the wifi worked. I will stay here again!

This hotel was so cute. It has a great location, I love the Victorian flare. The rooms are kept nice and the staff was very kind and helpful. The Bar tender Judy was the best! She makes great drinks and loves to come up with things for your taste. My husband and I enjoyed hanging with her at the end of the night. Small Breakfast buffet is included in your stay and though it was small having hot food and other options was definitely a plus! I will definitely be staying here again.

Rooms were not made for Seniors! Beds were too high even though you had a step stool and bathrooms did not have handles to grab ahold of.
-
Only issue was street noise as hotel is on corner.. We travel with fan for white noise so it wasn't an issue for us, but may be for others.. Breakfast was good but menu didn't vary much..

Very charming with a victorian feel, and in a central location with easy access to all the sights. Included is a buffet breakfast in their spacious dining room, with a good selection for all tastes. The staff are kind, courteous, and helpful.

The rooms are comfortable with an old claw foot tub/shower. My hotel room was one of the least expensive in SF for the night I booked and I very much enjoyed staying in the hotel even if some of the glory is slightly faded.

Adorable room. Comfy bed. Enjoyed fitness center.

The breakfast was amazing, plenty of food. The room was very spacious and clean. Complimentary coffee and water provided daily.

We stayed in the opera suite and it was both spacious and GORGEOUS. Loved the old school window in the bathroom while we showered/took baths. TV had very outdated cable but we didn’t mind. Also didn’t use a parking garage just street parked in the area and moved a couple of times. Free breakfast was what you expect , but we enjoyed the nice dining area. Quick uber or walk to most of the areas we wanted to get to. Will stay again if we are in the area.

Like the place. The style and the room furniture is a bit old school. The staff is great. The breakfast was nice and the breakfast, lobby and lounge spaces are very nice.

The real highlight, though, was Jay at the front desk. While helping another staff member check us in, he took the time to give us parking advice that saved us both time and money. He also recommended several local restaurants that were his personal favorites, and every suggestion was excellent. Every time we returned, Jay asked how we liked his recommendations and whether there was anything else he could do to make our stay better. On our last evening, he even stopped by the lounge just to say hello. He was kind, respectful, genuinely fun to talk with, and graciously put up with us joking that we were born way back in the 1900s. Jay is a gem. Management should do everything they can to keep him. He represents the very best in hospitality and is the kind of employee who turns a great hotel into a truly memorable experience. If you’re hesitant because the rates seem too good to be true for a city as expensive as San Francisco, don’t be. This place is the real deal. Beautiful, unique, comfortable, complimentary breakfast, and within walking distance of Japantown and other attractions. We would happily stay here again.

Good stay! Nice location and room.
-
Unlike similar older properties turned into hotels, the room was perfectly clean even in the least obvious places. The common areas were cozy specially the library. Breakfast was great and the location was super convenient. I will definitely stay here when I return to SF.

El desayuno es aceptable. Es un hotel con aire nostálgico, cómodo y bien ubicado, 10 minutos caminando a Union Square, y rodeado de paradas de autobús. Del hotel al aeropuerto en transporte público se hace 1:10

Second time staying here. Such a great location, comfortable rooms and helpful staff.

The Majestic continues to be my go to home away from home whenever I’m in SF. The rooms are well maintained and comfortable. It’s also quiet. The staff is amazing!
-
Lovely hotel and comfortable. Only negative is the lack of a full length mirror.
-
Loved this historical hotel! We had the king suite and it was the biggest room I’ve ever stayed in ever! The bar was great with interesting drinks. The breakfast was delicious too. This was a very classy place.
