The complimentary water in the lobby was great, until it was no longer available.

I love the decor of the hotel and how it’s maintained its charm. The staff is kind and incredibly accommodating. I’m already looking forward to our stay next year.

Lovely boutique hotel in a good location with a San Francisco ambiance.

Great place to stay, would stay again for sure.

Built in 1902 and survived the earthquake. Truly old style San Francisco. Parking is lacking. Breakfast a plus. Fair location. I would recommend them to put grab bars around the claw bathtubs. Potentially a danger for falls, and I am 6’3. I would stay again.

So Beautiful and historic. Loved my window over looking the street corner. Not noisy at all. Very comfortable bed and large bathroom. I had an issue with my Television, and it took a long while to fix it. But hey, still loved my stay. Be sure to sit in the lobby area. So cool.

Our stay was so much more than what we expected. From check-in to check out. We got upgraded to a suite and it was absolutely beautiful and precious. And everything was clean and comfortable. And I loved that they had bottled water and coffee available 24 hours. Breakfast was also delicious and such a lovely setting. We will keep this on our top list when we travel back to San Francisco.

This hotel is definitely the best if you enjoy mid-century and art deco. Great details in each room/space, ultra-clean interior and superior services.

When I fell asleep at 2am in the morning, there was sharp beep in my room and woke me up. Probably because of the low battery from fire alarm but I have to change my room. Had a bad sleep. The new room refrigerator and air conditioner also had big noises. Also I can hear the noise from street.

Charming, great location, quiet

What was most unbelievable was that the hotel admitted they had proof Booking.com had sent the payment to the wrong property, yet instead of taking that evidence directly to Booking.com themselves, they expected me to do it. They literally asked me to contact Booking.com on their behalf and try to recover their payment, even though I had already paid for my stay months earlier and provided them proof. I have no access to their contracts, payment systems, or business relationship with Booking.com, yet they expected me to resolve their vendor dispute because it was apparently more convenient than handling it themselves. That is one of the most unprofessional customer service experiences I have ever had. I have attached screenshots of these emails so others can see for themselves. My family lives in the area, so we visit often. We had planned to stay at The Hotel Majestic again and were even going to recommend it to my mother when she visits this fall. After this experience, I cannot recommend a hotel that treats its customers this way or trust them with a family member's credit card. Also- just stay away from Booking.com. They are giving me the run around as well when they have confirmed on multiple calls and through multiple emails in writing that I did pay fully initially.

Be careful when you take a shower. The shower controls in the clawfoot bathtubs where the showers are, can be kind of tricky to work when you are over 6 ft tall. All in all, a great experience.

Amenities and breakfast were basic, but can't beat the value.

Third stay at Majestic. Very accommodating!
-
Very clean room with period features in a good location. Easy walk to JapanTown, Filmore Street and California Street Cable Car. Breakfast included.

Quiet and clean in a great location.
