Dirty hotel and rooms. It is also very loud with paper thin walls.

Hours for hotel coffee start too late and the bar / food ends too early for a business trip. Hotel was clean, rooms were appropriately sized for the location.

Good location, modern but small sized room, good for a few days. The only down side is that they don't have the capacity to store your luggage after checkout or if you arrive early at the city.

Great location in Union Square. Easy access to BART and bus lines to get around town. The hotel is clean and we liked the little cafe on the first floor, which offers free drip coffee for hotel guests. The rooms are quite small (no mini fridge, microwave, or coffee maker), but we found the space pleasant enough and worked well for our needs (mostly out and about in the city during out stay). Hotel felt safe and secure, lots of tourists walking around the area all times of day and night. My only real complaint is that I called ahead to confirm that we could store our luggage at the hotel upon check out, as we had a late flight. However, the front desk worker while we were ther informed us that they did not offer luggage storage. She did direct us to the store across the street, which offers luggage storage for $8 a bag. That worked for us, but I was annoyed to be missed by my initial request. The rooms are not very soundproof. We could hear people walking down the hallway through our door..

If you have a Powell street facing room, bring your ear plugs. It’s really loud until the trolley service is done by around 12 midnight.

It was nice place to stay. Location is 5 stars. Rooms can be called but quirky as washbasin is 1ft away from bed. Rest was amazing. Staff was very very friendly and again location is a surplus.

However, the amenities were quite limited for a queen room. No fridge or slippers, and the staff didn’t have any slippers available when we asked. The room was also not the same layout as the photos. I chose it because the dressing table was shown next to the window, but ours wasn’t, so the room was quite dark for doing makeup. The biggest issue was the lack of soundproofing. On our fourth night, someone in the next room was screaming all night, and we could hear every word and his footsteps. It was quite scary. I reported it the next day and appreciated that the hotel listened and said they would check if it happened again. Luckily, we didn’t have any issues on the following nights.

The location of this hotel is great as it is right by Union Square. The room sizes are tiny. And no full length mirror at all in the room.

This is not a street you can drive on, you can only enter the hotel from walking. Cars are not allowed on this street and not allowed to stop because of the trolley, making it inconvenient if you have more luggage that 2 hands can carry. The room is fairly small with no fridge or A/C. The windows open right into other windows

I checked out one day earlier. I confirmed the procedure for early check out 4 times with different receptionists. The procedure is that I leave the key at the time they adviced me to and they do check out and refund me. However, I have not received any confirmation or refund yet. I have written to the hotel several times and they have been ignoring me. Booking.com is ignoring my written queries too. I will remove this comment and increase the rating once I get my money back. The Hotel staff please refund my money.
