ITH Pacific Tradewinds Hostel San Francisco

The atmosphere is what really makes this place stand out. They even set up the World Cup matches on a projector, which created an awesome vibe. I also loved the free tacos on Tuesdays, karaoke on Monday nights, and the option for a late check-out. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting San Francisco. Overall, I had a great stay, but I have a couple of suggestions that could make the experience even better. First, the curtains on the bunk beds could be improved to provide more privacy. Second, it would be helpful to clearly inform guests before arrival that there is no receptionist available between 12:00 pm and 4:00 pm, and provide clear instructions on how to access the hostel during those hours. These small improvements would make an already great hostel even better.

Cheap, location was fine too The curtain in the bed is broken (all of them were), offering almost zero privacy.

Great people, great place, the owner is amazing. Also there are free community Events with fun and food, an amazing barbecue on the rooftop inclusive. Everything is clean and wellkept. The area is not the prettiest but well connected. Lots of stairs in the Hostel.

Great community environment and wonderful staff!! Assad organised group activities catered to my interests and had so many great recommendations for the city. I also met so many lovely people and made heaps of friends! Again, thank you Assad! You were amazing and made my stay perfect!

This is an amazing Hostel in san francisco, the best in my opinion, the manager is very kind and helpful and organize free optional activities every day such as free bbq or board games. Geographic location is also amazing.

Everything. One of the best hostels I’ve visited. The kind staff, the community here… a true relief from the fast-paced life in SF! I came here for the 4th time already and will be coming back soon ☺️ /

This is an excellent place, with very adequate infrastructure. People that work there are absolutely amazing, prone to help and open to understand different situations. The place was great. However, in the room I stayed beds were separated by a not so-well fixed curtain. I think that this could be easily improved with small adjustments. Another thing more difficult to change was the number of bathrooms... not many.

Breakfast was basic but plentiful. Common area was roomy. You need more than one full time staff to clean and run the hostel.

The host is the amazing

This is a very social hostel, with an extremely nice owner who genuinely cares about you and making your holiday as good as possible rather than wanting to extract as much money out of you as possible like most hostel owners.

Also, Asad, the property manager, was simply the best. He was so helpful, making sure my stay was comfortable. I also loved the hostel activities, such a fun way to connect with fellow travelers.

Nice location, great host. Lots of stairs - but it’s a good cardio workout.

The owner was really nice! No matter what time it was, he always helped! And every evening there was an activity! That was great opportunity to meet new people and have new friends actually! I really appreciate his effort!
