Motel Capri

Great location and safe. Our “go to” when in the San Francisco area.

This is our favorite place to stay when we are in town. It’s clean, staff is friendly and helpful. We have never had an issue staying here. Parking is first come first serve. Shopping and restaurants are close by and within walking distance

Lovely rooms and nice location

It's an average motel. Location is convenient. The parking lot is a plus, but challenging to park with limited spot. The breakfast has very limited option and the room is very small and crowded in the early morning. No chairs, so people have to stand outside or go back to your own room to eat.

Rooms were very nice and spacious. We absolutely loved our first room. I should’ve booked it for two nights, but the hotel accommodated us with a different room! Breakfast was a nice grab and go. Very walkabout to restaurants and shops in the area. Will definitely be staying here again!

This is my second time staying at Motel Capri. Accommodations and the free breakfast are very basic. I appreciate a fresh cup of coffee in the morning. I stay here because the location is convenient, great walkable neighborhood and safe. Hotel management is very nice and helpful. Will gladly stay here again!

Awesome stay!

Breakfast is very basic. Toast, cereal, instant oatmeal, coffee and juice. No place to seat down to eat. Location is good.

Very dated and lots of wear and tear. Pretty clean and it has free parking which is a rarity in downtown San Francisco.

We had a wonderful time staying here. It was a quick weekend trip and enjoyed the cleanliness and parking. The hotel is walking distance to the marina district.

Good service at the reception. Although, there was a strong smell of essence smoke... not pleasant for everyone... Room was ok, floor was sticky and dirty. Shower door was not closing properly so water was coming out... when we needed Ice, the machine was not working... also, there is an elevator but not working either. It's ok for a 1 night stay but not for more...

Convenient location and comfortable beds, but run down bathroom and limited breakfast.

Great location, and a safe area. We left our vehicle parked for 3 days and never had any issues. Quick walk to the bus stop, and close to main tourist areas. That being said, the place is pretty old, the curtains in our room had mold on them, the phone didn't work, and the couch and chair had dirty spots all over them (we ended up covering the couch with a spare sheet before sitting down). The cleaners did a fine job with what they could, but the place needs some updating. We didn't do the continental breakfast so I'm not sure how that was. The staff was friendly. I wouldn't stay here again, but if you're looking for safe, convenient, and don't mind mold and grime, this is your place.

The location was great! No issues or problems except for keep in mind breakfast is cereal and toast. Definitely not that I thought breakfast included would be.

great place to stay!

As other reviewers note, it is a no frills, affordable, convenient place to stay in san francisco that has free parking. The beds were comfortable, and the room and bathroom very clean. It was just what we needed for one night, and we could walk to the bay beach and marina district and watch a sunset behind Mt Tam and the Golden Gate bridge. It is one block off of busy Lombard street so it was quiet, and near to Chestnut st. which had lots of good restsurants as you walk toward the Presidio. But the breakfast was a downside.. all the cereals were super sugary with the exception of cornflakes. There were several international guests, and I was a bit embarrassed thinking of the breakfasts I have had all over Europe in comparison. Still, it was free, and there was coffee, and milk for the cereal that we were traveling with. So, all in all, a good experience and we would stay there again.

Quaint, convenient location and clean. Love staying here.
