Orchard Hotel

Very clean, excellent bedding, mattresses, towels. No facilities to speak of, nice little restaurant that I did not try. Good location on cable car street. Evening/ weekend staff very helpful in changing reservation. Daytime manager somewhat indifferent.

Clean room, very nice and helpful staff. We arrived early and were able to keep our luggage at the hotel while sightseeing. Around 2 o'clock we received a text stating our room was ready. The hotel is in a great location. We used public transportation and our feet to get around. Would definitely stay there again.

We had a lovely stay. Everyone at the front desk was so kind. Hotel was in a good location. Could pick up the street car just down at the corner or you could navigate the hills on foot!

I HIGHLY suggest this hotel. I got a great rate ! The area was safe and central. The only downside were to walk the steep hilly streets after a long day of walking. Honestly I’ll book this hotel in a heat beat. I got a GREAT deal and LOVE how safe I fell, the location

We had the BEST stay! Easy check in and friendly staff. Location is central to everything and the cable car stops right outside the hotels door. Rooms are quiet and clean. We hope to stay here again soon!

The property was beautiful. The staff was amazing.

This hotel has decent-sized rooms and good amenities that I care about (glass glasses, Keurig in the room, bulk shampoo & conditioner in the shower, accessible plugs for charging, good light from the windows, large bathroom, a real closet for clothes. The location is central, but not ideal: it is up a big hill if you are taking transit to Powell Street station, and the streets can be dirty and have homeless folks. It is near our favorite breakfast spot at Cafe de la Presse but not a lot of other great restaurants. Staff was friendly and helpful but didn't have a lot of suggestions for a nearby cocktail bar. Bottom line is that you'll need to walk some hills to get to good evening eating and drinking opportunities.

Very ideal location. Room was clean and property well maintained. It’s a bit dated but not a huge issue. Staff was friendly, overall was a good stay, definitely recommended.

Honestly, a truly amazing hotel! If I come back to San Francisco, I am 1000% booking at Orchard again. The staff was so kind and so incredibly helpful, the location was absolutely perfect, and I never felt unsafe. I am a solo woman traveler and I spent so much time reading reviews and I am just so happy I picked this place. I highly highly recommend!

The staff were nice and the location is convenient.

The room was spacious. The AC was hit or miss. Everything was as expected.

This property is great! Very affordable and so safe! The Powell-Hyde & Powell-Mason cable cars have a stop just around the corner from hotel and parking in the Sutter-Stockton garage was super close, simple and affordable. The hotel is very dated with old wallpaper and carpet styles, however it was very clean. Staff was very helpful. I would stay here again for sure.
