Did like they have two levels of breakfast

Close to a lot of shops and restaurants. Also very close to Chinatown. I arrived at the hotel around 11:30 or noon. When I went to the front desk to check in, the gentlemen who I talked to told me that because everything was full, I would not be able to check in to my room until 4 o’clock. If I wanted an earlier check-in, he asked for $50 to “ move things along”. I was frankly appalled by this negotiation, however, I was glad that I was at least able to leave my bags with the doorman while I explored San Francisco for the first time. I was out long enough that I could get back to my hotel room around 4 o’clock to check in, however, it would’ve been nice to check in at a more reasonable timeframe.

The hotel location is perfect, within a minute's walk to Union Square. The room size was good, as was the service. Roxanne's just behind the hotel is a great cafe with excellent all-day breakfast options. The breakfast buffet was just ok.

Clean rooms to helpful staff!

Excellent location. One block away from Union Square/Macy's. A lot of shopping malls nearby as well as restaurants. I just wished that there is a free breakfast included given the price of the rooms.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had a fantastic stay at the Marriott Union Square in San Francisco. As parents of an autistic child, traveling can sometimes require a little extra planning, especially when it comes to meals and maintaining familiar routines. Our son has specific food preferences, and we needed a way to prepare and warm up his dinner and breakfast in the room. We contacted the hotel, and the management was incredibly helpful and accommodating. Upon request, they provided us with a microwave in our room, which made a huge difference for our family and allowed us to take care of our son’s needs comfortably. This kind of attention and willingness to help is what turns a good hotel stay into a truly great experience. We felt very welcome, and most importantly, our son was happy and comfortable throughout the stay. We also really enjoyed the hotel restaurant. The food was excellent, and we found the prices to be very reasonable and competitive compared to many other restaurants in the Union Square area. It was great to have such a good and convenient dining option right inside the hotel. A big thank you to the staff and management for their kindness, flexibility, and outstanding service. They helped make our stay in San Francisco much easier and more enjoyable as a family. We would definitely stay here again!

The hotel staff is welcoming and outstanding. The room was comfortable and quiet. The room was equipped with a refrigerator and coffee maker. Every day the hotel provided a $30 food and beverage credit.

Ideal location next to Union Square. Short walk to the Bart rail train direct to the airport . Nice varied buffet breakfast available until 11 a m each day . Attentive staff .

Would love to see rooms with 2 queen beds. Additionally I would like to see more options for takeout at the café
