Very family friendly!
-
Comfortable, small hotel in a perfect location with nice furnishings and lively amenities.
-
This was a good stay. The front desk and bellhop seemed a bit disorganized, but they ultimately got the job done. The price and location was unbeatable and our room was clean.

Love the popcorn and coffee

Nice experience staying in the hotel.

Loved the old school-hotel vibe. The free cookies out front elevated the check-in experience right off the bat. I wish I would have taken advantage of the pillow ordering service, the default pillows and bed were amazing regardless. The bath salts and rubber ducky in the bathroom was an excellent touch. Make sure to take your ducky with you to remember your trip and stay (it's meant to be taken as a souvenir, we checked!). Would book again

I have been stayiing at the Chancellor for decades and it keeps getting better! The rooms are a bit small (European-style proportions), but very thoughtfully equipped

What a gem we found in San Francisco! A charming hotel with a great location.

Room was clean and comfortable. You can open the window and use the fan provided, which kept the room at a comfortable temperature. Liquid soap and lotion were provided, as was shampoo and conditioner. The staff were very friendly and greeted guests with a helpful attitude. The Chancellor is right in the middle of everything, with shopping areas nearby and a cable car stop right across the street. There is a bar in the lobby should you wish for a drink. Also complimentary coffee and cookies, and a cold water dispenser. A nice restaurant, Sears Fine Food, is right next door and you can get breakfast, lunch, and dinner there. If you choose to use public transportation, the Chancellor is down the street from the bus stop on Stockton and Sutter, and the Muni stop on Powell St.

Very central and right across from union square! No air but fan and window was sufficient .. very good condition for the rate
-
It wasn’t a great location for walking to shops and food. Staff was super friendly and I love the espresso machine.
-
Great location in the heart of Union Square. Convenient to hop on and off trolley. Hotel was charming and clean. Parking garage was close. Would stay at The Chancellor again!
-
Enjoyed every second of our stay at Chancellor. The location of the hotel is the main USP. You get off the cable car and walk 5-10 steps to the hotel entry.
-
My dislike was, the refrigerator wobbled, unstable. I would love to revisit your site and stay a couple more days. I loved it.
-
The hotel is right at Union Square. Trolley cars and busses right there. When we entered the lobby...so cool! Very well maintained. Cool vibe and neat restaurants within walking distance. I am going to go stay there again!
-
The room was nice but you can hear people in other rooms and the bed was way too soft.
-
P.S - TVs actually work with youtube netflix etc and wifi works well near plenty of great attraction to explore also
-
