Beacon Grand, A Union Square Hotel

This property is dated. It has a decent restaurant aesthetically but the food is meh at best. The staff is helpful but i definitely would not stay there again.

Nice hotel, just one block up from the Westin St. Frances (MUCH more expensive). But I've stayed there and the Beacon was just as nice. The basic King room was spacious and well maintained. I will probably stay here again the next time I'm in San Francisco.

Clean room, good location, helpful staff

We stayed in a Majestic Room with two queen beds, which was spacious, exceptionally clean, beautifully appointed, and very comfortable. The attention to detail throughout the hotel is impressive, and the entire property has a wonderful atmosphere that makes the experience feel special from the moment you arrive. We had both breakfast and dinner at The Post Room, a gorgeous restaurant with a great ambiance and very good food. Service was a little inconsistent depending on our server, but overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our meals and experience there. From the stunning hotel itself to the comfort and impeccable cleanliness of our room, we loved our stay. The Beacon Grand absolutely lived up to our expectations, and we highly recommend it. We will most certainly be back!

Clean room and beautiful classic/old-school style. Lobby and room were done VERY nicely. The bathroom standard is not as nice as the rest of the hotel and since only half the shower has a door/barrier, water can easily get on the rest of the bathroom floor. Make sure the concierge gives you the type of room you book. We had to change rooms because we were placed on a low floor next to the fan which was very loud (too loud even when we weren’t sleeping) and we paid for a much nicer room when we booked. Our final room very lovely.

The location was amazing and such a cute hotel! We will be coming back!

The Beacon Grand in Union Square is a deluxe and delightful place to stay in SF. The staff, food, cocktails, and Starlight Lounge are top notch. Clean rooms with good amenities. Valet parking is easiest option with daily cost similar to any major city. My wife and I will stay there again.

The windows do open, however they are extremely heavy that you have to call the front desks for a couple of guys to come and open the window. Please do not try doing it yourself.

The hotel is beautiful and in a convenient location, with a cable car stop in front of the main entrance. The staff are welcoming and most were very helpful. My only complaint is that the bathroom in the double queen room is very small and the shower is designed with a partial glass door that allows water to escape. Every shower required removal of water from the bathroom floor. I requested a room change but was told to adjust shower head. We stayed three nights but would not have survived a fourth.
