Very good location and a great place to stay. Really nice rooms and gym/ pool are great also. Staff are very helpful. Really close to the BART so you can get to the airport and other places easily.
-
Love the indoor pool! Hotel is spotless. Staff warm and welcoming. Room service breakfast was delicious

I hadn't really done any research prior to the trip and this location was FANTASTIC. The location was great where the places and things we wanted to do was within walking distance and if needed we took an Uber. The hotel itself is a magical place full of history and it was a little place locked away smack dab in the city. They provided great service, amenities were for everyone, they provided great inclusion for kids etc..overall great experience.

Main dining room is incredibly beautiful Breakfast buffet was egregiously expensive for the quality of food- cold overfilled trays mixed with empty picked over stations, room service took way over an hour with no updates, construction obstructing room view and were not aware until the stay was non refundable.
-
Hot tub water was filled halfway. Very rundown hotel.
-
Such a great experience, will for sure stay there again
-
I thought it was massively overpriced for what you get - for example, ikea lamps in a $1000/night room.

Great

Classic historic grand hotel. Beautiful hotel; however, they need to bring breakfast back to the Garden Court from years ago. They do have lunch, but breakfast would be even nicer. Rooms are spacious but no drawers for any clothes. Only closet for hanging clothes. Housekeeping staff was excellent.

Beautiful, historical, clean, beautiful, bathroom, pool, and food Location outside is a bit different but it was worth it

Great staff! Clean space.

Everything was great except for checking in. The room was ready about an hour after our check-in time.

The following morning, I went downstairs to grab a coffee and the employee working at the stand was incredibly rude. She definitely needs additional customer service training, as her attitude was completely unprofessional. To make matters worse, during checkout the valet brought my vehicle and parked it in the middle of a busy street. I had to quickly load my two toddlers into the car while traffic was passing by. I told the valet attendant this was extremely unsafe and unacceptable. Overall, this was a terrible experience. Between the poor customer service, lack of professionalism, and unsafe valet practices, I will not be returning.

That said, some areas of the hotel feel dated. The hallways in particular look old and have a harsh white lighting that feels more like a hospital than a luxury property. The rooms have high ceilings and a good size, which is a plus, but the bathrooms are relatively small. The white lighting in the rooms also creates a very cold ambiance, which takes away from the overall comfort. In general, much of the furniture throughout the hotel could benefit from a renovation. Overall, it’s a beautiful historic property in a great location. With some thoughtful modernization that respects and blends with the hotel’s classic character, it could truly be exceptional.
