Convenient location Coffee maker was broken half the time. Rooms smelled awful and dingy, almost checked out early because I was afraid of mold. My carpet was damp for the first several days of my stay, almost as if the bathroom across the hall had overflowed or something. You have to wait on staff to buzz the exterior door open for you, your key doesn’t unlock it, so if they’ve stepped away from the desk you are stuck waiting on the street. Finally upon checking in they informed me that in the showers you sometimes have to wait for 15 to minutes for the water to get hot. In my experience it didn’t actually take that long, but I guess… potentially double the length of your morning routine if you wake up early and are the first one running the hot water.

Staff was very friendly and supportive, they have a great variety if appliances if needed be.

Room is ok. Common restroom is clean. Can open window and has blind for privacy. Good that they provide some complimentary drinks. The only problem is the noice. Stay here for 3 nights and every night i hear police/ambulance car even after midnight.

Great location in Chinatown, very clean, nice room and very good price for San Francisco. Helpful staff, nice lounge area with fresh coffee always available. If you want a smart and posh place with own bathroom this is not for you. I would happily stay again Nothing

Broken amenities in room: broken ac, shades, and because of that I woke up with bug bites from open window with no fly screen. Staff unhelpful in getting a new room and lied about availability of rooms as we checked the website.

Tiny rooms, communal bathrooms and communal showers. Two out of the three showers on my floor weren't working.

I booked this hotel because it was a very inexpensive option for my solo trip to SF. You get what you pay for. The carpet is coming up, it smells, and there is no A/C in the very, very tiny rooms. When I entered my room at the start of my stay there was hair in the bed. I immediately grabbed my suitcase and went to find a different hotel. This place is abhorrent.

Probably the worst experience of my life. Dirty bathrooms. Staff most unhelpful. No elevator for the 3rd floor. Windows carry all the noise from the street.

The accessibility factor alone makes it a fantastic base for exploring the city. The rooms are definitely on the small and cozy side, so don't expect a lot of extra space to spread out. However, they are clean and have everything you need for a comfortable stay if you plan on spending most of your day out and about. Ultimately, you get what you pay for here. It is a straightforward, budget-friendly option in an expensive area. If you go in with the right expectations, it is an overall good experience and a solid value for the location.
