Hotel Triton Union Square San Francisco

Great location right by the Chinatown gate, easy walking to Union Square and other transportation. Great staff, clean accommodations. The only downside was the breakfast is very basic muffins and pastries.

Pretty nice hotel with some classic charm. Great location - right across the street from Chinatown, a couple blocks from union square, and close to north shore and the piers. Rooms are a bit small, but they’re cozy. No coffee in the room but served in the lobby in the morning with basic pastries. Staff was nice and accommodating.

The front desk staff refused to put any effort into finding our reservation, wasting 10 minutes just looking us up. Once we finally got our key cards and made our way to the room, they didn't even work. The receptionists had zero clue how to handle it, so we were stuck waiting another 10 minutes in the hallway for an engineer just to let us into our own room. The room was filthy and smelled strongly of urine. In fact, the entire hotel—including the main corridors—literally smelled like sewage. The beds were absurdly small, easily half the size of a standard bed in any other American hotel I've visited. The promised "high-speed Wi-Fi" didn't work at all. Calling their setup "breakfast" is a joke. It consisted of just three low-quality pastries. The lobby area was so cramped and overcrowded that you couldn't even find a place to sit down and eat it. The only positive thing about this property is its location, but location doesn't make up for a dirty, foul-smelling hotel with rude service and zero functional amenities.

The ‘continental breakfast’ is just muffins and pastries, no eggs/protein. Room had a mini fridge but no microwave, the lady at front desk was kind enough to warm up our food in their microwave but next day she said this is the last time she is doing this Overall, not worth in terms of value for money, you are better off with a hilton/hyatt

Location, reasonable size room, comfortable bed. Lovely cafe/restaurant next door. Air conditioning didn’t work, rooms only cleaned on alternate days. No coffee making facilities in the room. Didn’t know about the $150 per room deposit

The rooms need updating and renovation. Breakfast consisted only of tea and coffee—that is not breakfast!

The room was small which was okay since I knew that. But the gym’s AC was broken and it was like a sauna there. It should have said so. When I asked about the room being very hot, the front desk said that they will get someone and they didn’t even said it’s broken and not scheduled to get repaired for another month. I found out later from a worker there.

Cozy rooms, breakfast was coffee, fruit, and pastries. Only negative was the room doors. They slammed loudly constantly and rattled the walls. Woke us up in the morning every day. Fridge door needs to be oiled as very squeaky. Great location!! 35 minute walk to Pier 39, 10 minutes to Macy's, 15 minutes to Target. Muni station very close

Nice hotel in a great location. Love the lobby with its art and high ceilings. Great staff.

If your room is near the ice machine, count on disruptions while trying to sleep. Street noise was noticeable throughout the night as well (windows lack noise insulation). Window AC unit thermostat seemed to measure the outside temperature vs the room temperature; the room was warm.

Location, friendly staff Breakfast - only juice, muffins and some fruits (bananas and aplles) - I think, when a breakfast is advertised, it should be a proper breakfast. Parking also, they drove away the car, the next morning we have to pay round 65 USD, nobody told that us before.
