Great location, right across from a Chinatown gate. It's a ten minute walk to SFMOMA and close to a railway station, making it easy to explore the city. Sarah recommended a few restaurants to try when we were there, taking the time to write down the names and addresses! She was very helpful when I called to ask about dropping off our luggage since we arrived before our check-in time. The bed was the most comfortable hotel bed I've slept in and there were a lot more towels in our room than we expected! This would not deter me from staying again (in fact, I booked this hotel again for my next visit), but the building is old so expect one working elevator that is a bit slow. The shower can be tricky to use! Yes there are a few unhoused folks that are around the area, but they were few and far between and did not disrupt any part of our stay.

Very great location

The hotel itself was very well located and central. The staff were welcoming and allowed us an early check in. Unfortunately this meant we got a room right next to the lift which is quite noisy (as attested to by other reviews). But other than that, the room was well appointed and clean. Unlucky room allocation.

Location Very poor condition... Nothing like it seems in the picture.. Old furniture and old room... The lift barely moves... The internet is very slow hardly opens google..

Very nice hotel near Chinatown and downtown San Francisco. Rooms are comfortable. Staff is nice. Elevator is always busy.

Great hotel for a couple with easy access to things. Parking is non existent which is ok if you aren’t renting a car and are willing to take the train that’s near by or uber. Rooms are good however rust water did come out of the shower head at first, the grout in the shower is pretty nasty and the refrigerator was set to the lowest possible setting which is not safe for storing foods but works for keeping drinks cooler than room temp. Elevator gave us a few scares, with it jolting at times and would seem like it stopped between floors then slowly go to the floor you’re getting off at. This is a great stay for a few nights for a music festival or just visiting. Would recommend as the ubers, waymo, and lyft are lower prices because of the location, and with easy drop off and pick up access.

Great location with an easy walk to BART. The front desk staff were very friendly, and free hot drinks were available on the ground floor. It’s an older building, yet it’s well-maintained and the room was super cozy.

Small rooms, central location

Location was wonderful with restaurants, bars, Union Square and Theatres close by The shower looked new but the mold had been there quite a while.

Location, welcoming and friendly team, i liked that my room has been ready in time and even little bit in advance, so that I could have rest after a long flight. I liked all the commodities in the room. I liked the cleanliness, refreshing drinks available. Great quality/ price deal. In general everything was very good. The building itself isn’t new but the rooms are refreshed, so honestly, nothing particular to mention.

Other than that everything was clean. The room was updated just not the hallways and elevator

Nice location. Right outside the dragon gate in Chinatown. Easy walk to the financial district, soma, or north beach. The room was great. I slept like a rock. No complaints.
