Location, unique historic building, guest service, friendliness of all staff. Quietness of building and area, convenient parking Sofa bed could use a little extra padding.

I've stayed at this hotel for concert events, and I love the location and how clean is the room. Nice staff as well.

The room was clean, fresh water bottles daily. I liked the room setup and the soaps were great. Good security too. No one mentioned the $40+ a day for parking until we arrived. That would have been FANTASTIC to know AHEAD OF TIME.

We stayed because it was a block away from a venue we attended at the Caesar Chavez Plaza. It was great we just walked from the hotel. The hotel was a great price, it was clean, staff was awesome, we were upgraded to a suite at no charge. I loved it and would definitely stay again.

The location was good. The parking attendant was wonderful. He had a great attitude and was very friendly. The other staff members could learn from him. The size of the room was very good. Bed was relatively comfortable. The staff inside the hotel were almost nonexistent. The restaurant was dirty and not open for breakfast as it was supposed to be. We went elsewhere for every meal because of the state of this. I cannot believe that a hotel chain does not use duvet covers but 2 sheets instead. The bathroom was not cleaned properly and the drain did not drain so one stood in water up to the ankles. The floor flooded no matter how much care was taken with the curtain. The towels were threadbare.

I was really looking forward to staying here as it is a perfect location in downtown San Jose, but honestly the staff, specifically one of the managers, were incredibly disrespectful. My card had declined due to my bank suspecting fraud and instead of trying to understand the situation, he chose to insult me, suggesting that “my card would decline at Macy’s too because I can’t afford it.” He also had no intention of trying to help the situation, but maintained a smug and arrogant demeanor instead. After showing texts and bank statements of 1) being able to afford the purchase and 2) my bank suspecting fraud, I was the one that had to defuse the situation and step outside. This experience left such a sour taste I could hardly enjoy my stay for the weekend. I really hope they do better.

Parking was a bit expensive, but it was right next to the hotel. The property itself was nice and clean. The room was very spacious. Driving was a bit strange, but it was in the heart of the city, so you've got to navigate around bus and train lanes. The location itself was nice though, plenty of options for food and entertainment.
