Four Points by Sheraton San Jose Downtown

Exceptional

I was really looking forward to staying here as it is a perfect location in downtown San Jose, but honestly the staff, specifically one of the managers, were incredibly disrespectful. My card had declined due to my bank suspecting fraud and instead of trying to understand the situation, he chose to insult me, suggesting that “my card would decline at Macy’s too because I can’t afford it.” He also had no intention of trying to help the situation, but maintained a smug and arrogant demeanor instead. After showing texts and bank statements of 1) being able to afford the purchase and 2) my bank suspecting fraud, I was the one that had to defuse the situation and step outside. This experience left such a sour taste I could hardly enjoy my stay for the weekend. I really hope they do better.

The location to our event, friendly staff and cleanliness I booked through Priceline which said parking included and we were charged $40 from hotel

Parking was a bit expensive, but it was right next to the hotel. The property itself was nice and clean. The room was very spacious. Driving was a bit strange, but it was in the heart of the city, so you've got to navigate around bus and train lanes. The location itself was nice though, plenty of options for food and entertainment.

Read the fine print. They charge $42 to park in their lot. That’s an extra $42 you don’t think you’ll be spending to stay.

Very convenient location for travelers. Close to public transportation. Can be a bit noisy at night ,wall are thin.

Staff and housekeeping was nice. A historic building . . . would be nice o know more of the buildings history. I didn't like the elevator it took some getting used to. To go up the elevator you had to push down arrow to call it to you. Then you could go up. To gain entrance to my room the swipe card was not working very well and the handle was a little sticky. It took several tries to get in and at first almost called the front desk for help.

Hotel has a boutique, cool vibe, with its bar, interior, art, headboards and room design…room comfortable, clean, cozy, staff helped with questions…affordable

Excellent location right in downtown San Jose and incredibly close to the airport! Having easy access to the cheap train station is a huge bonus.
