Hotel Clariana

Clean room and great location. Difficult check in as the front doors were bolted with homeless on the front step. Had to use a phone number to call to be let in for check in. The number wouldn’t work so ended up knocking on the door until someone came to let us in.

Snack in rooms are all expired. Negligible toiletries provided. Continental breakfast consists of packaged sandwiches. Homeless people stays around entrance.

The room was big, with a mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker, and drinks or snacks you can buy. 2 bottles of water were complimentary each day. The beds were plenty big, with a large window that could be opened to the street. This hotel also had some of the fastest WiFi i’ve ever seen, which was great for all the work we had to do. A great hotel in Downtown San Jose. Close to so many restaurants that were walkable.

The hotel had a musty dirty odor. We were surprised when we first arrived that all doors were locked for security. Upon entering the reception area was behind solid glass. This was disturbing to know that the neighborhood was not safe. We used the one small elevator to get to our room through narrow dimly lit hallways. The room had an odd odor. Definitely not a place we were used to. We proceeded to find an alternative place and relocated within an hour. Most unsettling experience. Do not go to this hotel unless you are only looking to rent by the hour.

The complimentary breakfast was a great way to start the morning. The location is near many nice stores and places to eat. It's also pretty close walking distance to and from the San Jose McEnery convention center.

I was able to check in early! Great stay for the money, the location of the hotel is very good in regards to conventions!

The hotel is only a 15 minute walk from the convention center, which helps save money on car trips. There's also a nearby 7-11 and pizza place, which is very convenient.

Staff are great!

Front Desk super friendly accommodating.. Hotel is in the heart of downtown . Close bars restaurants entertainment. We had a great stay .

Only 4 blocks away from music in the park concert. The location was walking distance to a lot of restaurants and gas station and convenience store stores

I don’t know a ton about this location in terms of being a good neighborhood or not. I do know it’s very convenient to the green line and the staff could not have been nicer. Security was high and worked well. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable.

Tried to charge me for parking when I didn’t have a rental. Bathrooms were not clean and did t feel nice to be in the shower .

Great stay and planning to stay again. The location was close to restaurants easy walk to the university. The staff was extremely nice.

Breakfast had plenty of variety from croissant sandwich or muffin sandwich. Different toasts and yogurts. Butter and cream cheese packs. Coffee. Different juices and fruits There is no way to control the rowdy crowd outside of the hotel. The hotel is on a street where cars constantly drive by with loud music and loud exhaust. Saturday night sleep was so bad
