Really enjoyed the old Motel experience, just a great place to clean up and get some sleep.

The hotel is near to the train station and downtown. It was clean and the towels were good quality and fluffy. Staff was accommodating & friendly. The carpet was old and the screens on the windows could be replaced

Very old and has not been updated. Parking is awkward, and I was afraid I was going to go through the floor in the bathroom.

nobody in office. required telephone call offsite to get someone to come to office. required 10-20 min wait. both at 2:30 pm (quoted 20 min response) and again at 8:30 pm (5-7 min response quote but took them 10+mins) when they knew they had multiple late arrivals. would never stay there again.

The room was simple but comfortable. The staff were excellent and very helpful when I left a few of my belongings behind. They went out of their way to reach me and help me get my belongings back. The location was very convenient to the downtown area The shower was small and the showerhead was too low, so uncomfortable to shower.

Very convenient t location, walking distance to SLO downtown and 7 minute drive to CalPoly. Fridge and microwave in the room (but not in all of them) Surprisingly good mattress and ok pillows. Very nice owner. This is a very old property that definitely requires upgrades, both outside and specifically inside. Anything from curtains to bedspreads to carpet and outlets. Though they clean really well, the signs of tear and wear all everywhere and create not the best impression. It’s ok for one night, and is cheaper than most of other motels in the area.

While it was just me, a 54 year old travel savvy father, this hotel was fine for the night. I wasn't spending much time in the room so it was just for sleeping and showering. The hotel and room are tired, with scuffed walls, missing paint and a very tiny shower with shower head below chin level. The sinks hot water was turned off, not sure why, and the dated AC almost got the room cool enough. It was fine for a pinch, but at $230 all in, I thought this place would have a bit more charm. The bed was OK, sheets clean and while staff were slow to answer the locked door to the office for check in and out, my stay was fine. Shocked at hotel prices in SLO so settled here. If you know and your OK with a 2-star'ish stay, its fine. Easy walk to town (5 mins) onsite parking, and a place to rest your head...
