Comfort Inn & Suites San Marcos near Outlet Mall

Horrible experience. Woke up to bed bugs.

Our room had mold on the ceiling in the bathroom and baby roaches in the tub. There was expired milk in the refrigerator, a bad odor, and flies at the window, which I killed four of. I asked the staff if we could change rooms, and they moved us to a different one. However, last night we found blood on the sheets and mattress, along with small baby roaches in the bathroom. I would not recommend this hotel.

Staff was nice at check in. The tv remote and refrigerator did not work in the room and staff did nothing to appease the situation.

Not pleased with our stay.

The only good thing about this place was how close it was to everything, shopping, food, river and much more. The first room we got into had soaking wet floor from the a/c to the bed, our second room had very visible mold above the shower and you could even see where it was painted over to cover it up but it was all peeling up. The toilet handle is broken and don’t expect housekeeping to bring fresh towels you have to go ask for more yourself. The hallways and floor were very dirty I don’t think anyone has vacuumed or mopped in a while. Yes I understand you get what you pay for but these businesses are definitely making their money and should still expect to make paying customers feel clean when staying at these properties.

Breakfast? Eggs were not real eggs. Only sausage. No juice of any kind in dispenser , Only water. Entrance light inside our door not working. Did not get our room cleaned first night and we made sure we left do not clean sign in room on counter. Hard time maintaining a regular temp. Either too cold or too warm.

I will never return to this hotel. The place was filthy. The room air was humid and it smelled. The bedside table was wet and sticky. The breakfast option was very limited. It’s a shame as a little TLC would have made it a good stay.

It was late when I checked in. I was exhausted. I had just gotten ready to get in the shower and realized there was a pile of dirty towels and the garages hadn’t been thrown. I noticed the front desk and she moved me to another room. By this time it was around midnight and when I got in the shower there were dirty towels hanging on the shower rod. I wasn’t even sure if the bed had been cleaned but it had been a long day and I needed sleep. It was awful.

Peaceful place

This property is clearly under different management. When I last stayed here 3 years ago, it was clean everything worked helpful staff even a good breakfast bar. None of that is true anymore. Coffee machine in the room doesn't work, coffee machine in the lobby doesn't work, food was barely edible. Do not stay here!

I’ve stayed in several hotels where they have a breakfast buffet,but this one was the worse. In every hotel that I have stayed there has always been someone keeping up with the cleanliness of the breakfast area. This one was a total mess food thrown all over the floor counters full of food. I know the adults staying there should be the ones picking up after themselves, but of course that’s not the case here. Then to top all this off I paid for my booking in advance and I kept getting calls when am I paying for my second night. Well they had 3 guests with the same name but different last name so just caused lots of confusion there not comfort inn fault there. That was Expedia to blame for giving someone else our paid room. But overall rooms were clean and other areas to the hotel

Please don’t be fooled by the pictures posted. This place is nasty and falling apart. The breakfast they say they provide it’s a very small frozen option. I was given a room that the whole roof was from what it seems like falling apart. Mold in the bathrooms. I rented five rooms and I can tell you they all looked the same.

Good well lighted parking. Front desk was good. Everything was run down not being fixed hole in cleling above shower dryer didt work and had to plug in a light to get it to turn on. But other than that nothing much else.

San Marcos hotels all seem to share the same low level of cleanliness.

The beds were exceptionally comfortable, and the staff was very attentive and responsive to our needs throughout our stay. We were disappointed that there was no breakfast available when we went to the dining area, despite it being advertised as included. I hope they improve their food service management for future guests. During our stay on the third floor, we noticed visible damage to the flooring, which raised some concerns for us regarding the overall maintenance and stability of the building. The shower area showed signs of wear, specifically with peeling material that needs maintenance or refurbishment.
