We recently stayed at this hotel and booked two rooms for our family. Unfortunately, while the rooms were generally okay, the cleanliness and housekeeping standards did not meet our expectations. In one room, one of the mugs was visibly dirty, which immediately made us question whether the dishes had been properly washed. When we opened the sofa bed, we found chocolate wrappers underneath, which made us wonder whether the area had been thoroughly cleaned or vacuumed before our arrival. In my parents’ room, the coffee maker was also dirty. Another issue was that the body wash dispenser in the shower was nearly empty and had not been refilled. After a long day of travel with a baby, the last thing we wanted to do was call housekeeping for basic necessities. In our opinion, refilling shower amenities should be a standard part of preparing a room for incoming guests. While some may say that these issues could have been resolved with a phone call, having to request fixes for multiple housekeeping oversights becomes stressful, especially when the purpose of the stay is to relax and rest comfortably. Guests should not have to inspect the room and report several basic cleanliness and maintenance issues upon arrival. On a positive note, the staff member at the lobby was pleasant and welcoming, which we appreciated. We have stayed at other Marriott properties and have generally had very positive experiences, which is why this stay was particularly disappointing. We hope management takes these concerns seriously and improves housekeeping quality and room inspections moving forward.

Good distance to San Marcos It was raining when we arrived and there was nothing to help us stay dry as we walked to the hotel. No onning so we and our items were soaked.

Staff was very friendly. Loved the room especially if your traveling with family in need of a full size kitchen for a few days. It was great! Just wished there was a hott tub.
