Best Western Plus Sandusky Hotel & Suites

The property was clean overall and the staff were nice. The wi-fi didn't not seem to work and would prefer a little more variety for breakfast.

Woman at check-in was on speakerphone on her cell with a friend the whole time, and had me wait while she talked on the phone while I was trying to ask her things. Had a suite with 3 beds. Only decaf coffee pods, nothing else by coffee maker, 1 tiny (size of my thumb) conditioner was provided. The second bedroom bed was rock hard. TV didn’t work, AC was struggling, there was a weird table with a padded top next to the dresser that the legs were all wobbly on - we used it to hold a suitcase. Main room carpet had food by the nightstand and stains, wall above TV had food stuck to it, Bathroom curtain rod was falling out of the wall, sink was not draining, wall of shower had black and brown goo that we didn’t notice at first because of the granite pattern. Couch was very well worn but ok. Curtains in main room were coming off the top at the sides but worked still. The WIFI kept dropping about every 5-10 min in our room. Made working impossible. Front desk told us to go to 2 websites (both ended up being phishing sites) or that WE would need to call the internet company for the hotel. WIFI was like this the whole 5 day stay. Breakfast staff was nice, that area was clean, but the AC in the breakfast room did not work. Pool was very small, only indoors, 3 ft deep all around.

There were only 2 towels in a room for 4 people. Then housekeeping took our dirty towels and did not leave us with clean ones. I had to call down to the front desk and go down and get them because they said there was no one to bring them to our room. When I asked for an extra towel I was told I could only get 3.

Was Happy with everything. Will come back excellent customer service breakfast good. The room was excellent. 5 stars

Overall good

Used Expedia to book a previously booked room at this location. Upon arriving I noticed the room was wrong, only to be told by the lady working check in on July 2 2026 it’s not her problem it’s expedias because they booked the room. Luckily upon calling Expedia they confirmed they couldn’t book a previously booked room I had never been in and it was a property mistake and was compensated. I stay at this hotel once a month for 3-4 days and I will no longer because of the way I was spoke to at the desk as well as the toothpaste covered mirror and hair ridden tub in a room I was never suppose to be in

Great stay, beds were ok. Staff was great, except the one girl who was on her phone and on FaceTime at the front desk while letting me stand up front for 15 min after asking what I needed, then once I got up there she tells me the card machine is down.

We stayed in Suite 109 and the air-conditioning was not very good. Our room always felt hot. Lots of hairs in the bathroom and dead bugs - could’ve been cleaner. There were no larger bath towels in our room upon check-in and when I went to the desk the next morning they said that they did not have any that were clean to check back the next day so we had to use small towels every time we showered until we could actually get towels. The dryer in the laundry room area closest to the wall did not work. It did not spin, so my items did not dry well. Good breakfast and pretty easy to get to with a lot of stuff around it. Just wish that it was a little cleaner and stuff actually worked properly.

Front desk was helpful to assist me in storing my bike overnight which I really appreciated so I did not have to leave it in my car. I will definitely stay here again!

The facilities were older but maintained well. The pool was small but indoors. The breakfast was good, and the staff were friendly and helpful. My only complaint was the beds were very firm and uncomfortable.

The wi-fi did not work at all during the evening that we stayed here, so I wasn't able to get any work done on my laptop. When I called the front desk to ask about it, they said they were "working on it" but it was never fixed by the time we checked out the next morning. The window in our room was a hand-cranked window and it would not close all the way, so there were a few bugs that kept getting inside our room. On the bright side, the breakfast was pretty good and it was convenient to Cedar Point.

The room and bathroom were very clean. We were on the 4th floor. Fewer rooms and quiet. Parking was ok. Several items offered for breakfast; however, the space is awkward and doesn’t flow. People were running into each other. Very crowded space for food and tables.

Room seemed clean, no musty or other bad smells. Hallway was clean, no carpet stains or such issues. The breakfast seemed fresh with sausage and eggs being tasty and hot.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was nice. Pool was nice. Room was clean. If you’re staying overnight after a long day at Cedar Point, it’s close to the park.

AC was not working properly for night

Large rooms. Nice size refrigerator. Friendly staff.

The staff was very pleasant and the room itself met expectations. Our bed covers had dirt on both and one had an old used bandaid stuck to it. The pool was not advertised correctly, much smaller and shallower. The breakfast was not very good and made me sick one of the mornings. The use of AI slop on the advertising sign out front was disheartening and frankly one of the reasons I will not recommend anyone to stay nor will I be returning to this hotel.

Absolutely loved this property, we had a great stay here. The rooms are very spacious, they have all the amenities you would need. Our favorite part was that they actually had a game room that we were able to utilize during our stay; the kids and I got a chance to play some PC games for a couple hours the night before our trip to Cedar Point! We loved it!
