Sonesta Simply Suites Orange County Airport

It was extremely dirty . My sheets were dirty and there was close left behind from previous party. Front desk said they have house keeping once a week.

Guess what? Called the manager the next morning. No answer. Called Expedia to cancel the booking. Guess what? Expedia needs the manager’s approval for cancellation and no answer and no compensation. Attaching pics from the first and only night. So we’ve booked at an Extended Stay and had to call out loss on 3 nights that we received no refund or credit for. Fix the listing.

The room had a really weird smell, it was damp all the time. I asked the front desk when we arrived to get cooking utensils and pans, I was told they would bring everything to us but it never happened. When we asked about the smell and if someone could take a look at the AC unit we were told to open the window. While walking down the hallway to the laundry room a small dog pooped. I know it is the responsibility of the owner to pick it up, but it was left there for hours. Even the staff walked past several times. It seemed like they are short staffed since most of the time when you walked past the front desk no one was there. Was this hotel convenient to the location we needed to be, yes, but did I expect it to be in better shape.. also yes. Would I stay here again ...probably not. We were here for a week. We switched over to an Extended Stay and let's just say our current stay at an Extended Stay is 100% better.

NEVER stay at this hotel EVER! I called earlier in the week to confirm our rooms were ready and were assured everything was set for our WEDDING. They cancelled both our reservations we had 15 mins before our check in, the day before the wedding. The manager of the hotel had no remorse and did not care about helping us at all. We had to scramble to find another hotel less than 24 hours from our wedding so the bride had somewhere for her vendors to do the bridal parties makeup and hair. This was the most stressful and worst experience on what was supposed to be the happiest day of our lives.

Smelled like pets and cigarettes

Bathroom in our room was breaking down. The door was off its hinge. Utensils took days to aquire from staff after asking numerous times.

Check in for 10 minutes left after that , room dirty !!! still charged one night and kept my pet deposit!

The price for a room was cheap but that should have been my first clue. Rooms are not the best. I have stayed at plenty of sonesta hotels and this one is worst. Carpets are gross, rooms have mold and mildew. Cabinets are so damaged. Room smells so bad. Would not stay here again

The room had an unpleasant odor, and the bathroom was not clean. The towels appeared to have been used and had stains on them. The bed sheets were not clean and also had a bad smell.

Upon entering my room I encountered a broken microwave, broken phone, missing lightbulb, dirty coffee maker, and the room had a strong musty smell. I asked the staff for help and after the 3rd day of talking to different staff I was only able to get the bulb replaced. I felt like the room was wasn’t cleaned nor inspected beforehand. The staff were friendly but clearly were not very helpful.

The staff were friendly and the property was fine. My only complaint was that the room labeled "vending" was a storage room for the baggage carts. I didn't find an ice machine; granted, I didn't ask, but usually there is signage.

The building was a little worn out. Other than that everything was good, excellent location
