La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Orange County Airport

I’ve stayed at this property before which was last summer, however this time I was highly unsatisfied with my stay. For starters when I first entered my room I noticed it was slightly humid inside so I went to turn on the a/c only to find out that the wall unit doesn’t even turn on. I had to partially open the window for air. Upon walking over to open the window I found a dead cockroach on the floor between the wall and the sofa about the size of a chapstick tube. For some reason there was a plastic bag taped around the smoke detector in the room which I don’t think is legal. There was black mold on the bathroom ceiling and in the corner of the shower where the knob is to turn on the water. The tv was pixelated and cutting in and out depending on what channel you watch. And to top it off which I didn’t notice until the second night of my stay was a long, single, black, blood stained hair on the top drawer of the nightstand. I have the pictures and videos to document and backup all my statements. I understand this is not a 5 star hotel by any means but the fact in a “clean” room that I have to deal with biological hazards is not ok. I’m thankful that this was a solo trip/stay for work, if this stay was for pleasure and with my family, what is my kids touched the blood stained hair on the nightstand? What is my kids were playing on the floor and can in contact with the dead cockroach? THIS LA QUINTA LOCATION NEEDS TO ADDRESS THESE ISSUES. I DIDNT PAY FOR A NEGATIVE EXPERIENCE

The room is very comfortable and the amenities are wonderful. Excellent breakfast also.!

The room was clean and overall okay. The staff was friendly and helpful. However, the room looked unfinished, with visible construction marks, patchwork, and uneven paint on the walls. The biggest issue was the heating/AC unit, which made a constant buzzing noise all night, even though we never turned it on. It made it difficult to get a good night’s sleep.

It was mid. Breakfast was okay. Eggs were watery and weird looking. The room next to us looks like it was broke into. Like someone beat it with an axe and baseball bat. Really creepy and concerning.

We ended up checking out in the first hour .

The staff could have been more helpful when we were checking out early. They told me the site we booked through needed to get a hold of them and they’d honor us checking out early and then they denied it. Little frustrating. I understand but it’s hard to be told one thing and another happens. There was water damage and mold in bathroom too. Probably should take care of that.

Pick a different location your welcome

Staff was nice, but the property was a little rundown. We had a big water bug in our room and we called for someone to spray and no one ever came. A lot of things were broken in the room when we got in there paint off the walls bathroom door broken.

Parking

We took pictures of the horrible conditions of this property. We had to change rooms the next morning. It was totally unclean, mold, and linen and towels didn’t have a tolerable smell, and poor maintenance is evident. We had to request room cleaning and one of our rooms never got it.

Great Hotel, Friendly Staff

The staff was great! Everyone was very friendly during our entire stay. The are is safe and very family friendly. Definitely staying here again!

Clean room, staff was great to work with!

Very nicely renovated room. The property is clean and well maintained. The only complaints are the breakfast (which comes with the room) was pretty bad, but it was free, but I thought that could do a bit better with the scrambled eggs and sausage patties. Also, I was able to talk to anyone at the front desk when I called multiple times at night because I wanted to find out where I can get bottled water. Anyway, the price was good given how clean and new the room is. I will totally stay there again,

I did feel like the sheets weren’t the cleanest. The top blanket had a lot of stains on it and even a few burn spots. The towels in the bathroom also had stained areas. They very well could have been cleaned, but the stains on them made me wary. The front desk was awesome for check in and out. The breakfast was great but they do stop restocking it if you come down before the hour closes. The door to the breakfast was closed right at the close time. It was a fine overnight stay but I do wish things were kept cleaner.

Additionally, one of the elevators felt unsafe as the doors would move open/shut rapidly, would not shut when the button was pushed and the floors buttons had no lights working. Felt very unsafe. The property & rooms were not very clean. I had to pick up items left on the carpet (perfume bottle, large cotton string, coin change, etc). We paid for a king room with a sofa bed. The sofa upholstery was majorly torn & extremely stained & the mattress is horrible! I asked for 2 extra comforters for my grandson to use (one as a cushion on the horrible mattress, and one as a blanket) because only sheets were provided. It took me 3 attempts to get the extra comforters from the front desk. The first 2 times they said they'd have them brought to my room but never did. The third time I told them I wasn't leaving the lobby until the retrieved them for me. I stayed at this hotel a few years ago and it was fine or I would not have re-booked. There is a black car in the parking lot out front that is coated in dirt & clearly has not been moved in weeks or months. I will not be back at this hotel.

Staff was great, room was a little outdated and the couch was stained. It appeared that some people might have been living in one of the sections of the hotel. Did eat breakfast and the staff was very nice.
