Across the street from the beach, which in the area is called beachfront. Beautiful older hotel with the Wharf and restaurants within walking distance. The room was very small and the had no closet to hang our clothes. Overall great stay.
-
Charming place with great location by the beach.
-
A great place to stay with an overlook over the ocean! Also able to get on the beach easily and downtown was close enough to walk into

Look, it’s Santa Barbara, where everything is a little old/small/dingy but goes for a premium. However, if you’re on the fence about spending big here for a “premium” experience, know that it’s just not gonna be able to provide that you. Room was well appointed but the walls were paper thin so you hear every bump and noise from around you. It’s a well-lit building with exterior corridors, so there was a lot of light streaming into the room that the drapes couldn’t keep out. There were some ants as well, which makes sense based on the age of the property and its location by the beach, but that gets back to the original problem — spending around $1K on a room like this and expecting anything more than a modest upgrade over a best western plus will end up letting you down. Maybe it’s not the Milo per se, and just a fact about downtown SB in general. I value a premium experience when I spend for it and I was really let down.

I liked the happy hour and the outdoor seating areas

Our particular room was a bit weird. Our beds were supposed to be queen size but were too narrow and very uncomfortable. The vanity in our bathroom was very small so there was no room for toothpaste, toothbrush or anything else you might leave on the counter, no room. There was no table and chairs to just sit and visit. There were 2 occasional chairs and a small table but what was point? They were uncomfortable. Sorry but it was not a good experience.

Great location if you want to dine, shop, go to the beach or pool. The property is older but maintained pretty well and the rooms are well appointed with bathrobes, slippers, coffee and water

Santa Barbara had a heat wave and the air conditioning in the room did not work. Management said they had no extra rooms to switch out, so we had 80 degree room temperature while trying to sleep. Ugh.

Beds were perfectly comfortable. Staff was always nearby and ready to assist with anything. Wonderful stay!!
-
Very expensive and additional parking fee. Grounds were nice and room was a good size. Little ants in the bathroom and noisy air conditioner but other than that very nice.

Very nice. Very clean. Non optional $40 do parking. Just include it in the price so people are not surprised.

The grounds were quite nice and the hotel ideally located right across from beach. It is so impressive when you approach the hotel. I think I expected a property that was more like a Hilton etc… that was my issue. I did find it to be a nice property and the bikes were nice to be able to use at no charge. My only wish would have been a more modernized AC system. Overall I would recommend!

Friendly and helpful staff. Check in/out was a breeze. Room with an ocean view was definitely worth it. The property itself was clean and loved all the fire pits they have all over. We took the train from Los Angeles and the station is approximately 1/2 mile from the hotel which is very convenient. Loved the ease of checking out beach chairs, towels and umbrellas. It's also a short walk to the wharf and marina which is nice.

This was such a lovely property. I love that each building had its own character and features. I was surreptitiously placed in a room by the hot tub, and it was a lovely way to decompress (along with a complimentary bottle of wine) after a couple of long travel/work days. Can't wait to come back with my family!
