Breakfast items are very limited. Not many options. Property at a prime location, but the rooms are cozy compared to price.

Would definitely stay again!! Hotel had lots of character! Staff was pleasant and helpful!

Great location and a lovely simple breakfast. Appreciated the bike rental choice. Our room was not the cleanest, needed updating. We felt we were stuck in a space that was an afterthought. Maybe it was because there were more than 2 of us? We were not in the main building but across the street.

Very charming, walkable and perfect for a few days in Santa Barbara.

Fantasy room! Breakfast time- 1/10 for a paper plate & bowl, a plastic cup for orange juice and a white plastic fork, knife and spoon, Yuk for four-star hotels!! No way for the UK or the European & I don't know if it's an American thing

Great location and a good value.

I booked this property because it was shown as being colourful, unique, quirky, charming I was not accommodated onsite, but across the road at another property…I did not have a patio as shown in the photos, there were no ceiling fans as depicted…my view was of a car park, not the pooled area or lush gardens

Being gluten intolerant, there wasn’t much I could eat at breakfast.

You get what you pay for, don’t expect much, not the cleanest

The property was unique with an old villa vibe which was excellent; however, staff friendliness was hit or miss. Cool court yard area with an eclectic feel; however the age of the building showed, which was what I was looking for in my stay. Parking was rough at first. Excellent location for beach and dining.

Great place. Great staff. Loved the vibe and the location. Took advantage of the happy hour which was perfect before dinner. The hot tub and pool were a welcome treat after lots of camping and road travel. The breakfast was nice and well thought out. Will stay there again!

The location is great, and the staff was very nice. Villa Rose has no A/C. I didn't realize this until I arrived. I thought the hotel would be charming, and it was, but in a cluttered, Grandma's attic sort of way. The pool area included an old wadded-up tarp and some litter--as well as some beautiful plants and quirky statues.

Loved the eclectic feel and amazing staff. Close to pier and state street. Was perfect for our quick trip!

This is a hidden gem! We will definitely be back
