Great location, good value, not a luxury property but everything simple straightforward and worthwhile.Ample free parking and helpful staff when required. Beachfront minutes away and lots of nearby excellent restaurants.

Very simple rooms. Clean, but walls and doors were worn. Locks on room door was loose. TV didn’t work right.

The front desk staf super friendly and had an amazing trip. Less than two blocks from boardwalk pier. The rooms can be better.

Location is great

The hotel is in a great area close to boardwalk etc. The door to the room was hard to open and the key sometimes didn’t work. If there is no staff available then you could be out in the cold. The bed was hard and the room was cold with no area to hang out. The pool was good. If you want a good breakfast place there’s a cafe across the street with great breakfast burritos, and pancakes. Please note that all of Santa Cruz closes at 9pm. Ha!

Close proximity to the boardwalk and warf

The location is perfect. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the room was clean and we had enough towels for our one night stay. My grand-daughter enjoyed the pool. Available parking was also a plus in this busy tourist location.

Room was fine, but they put an additional $100 hold on your card before check in that isn’t returned for 2 weeks. I woke up to $100 missing with no warnings Didn’t appreciate this but the room was clean, and nice for the size, but there is no guaranteed parking.

Bed was very comfortable. Moved upstairs could hear everything from ceiling. Close to boardwalk and food

Not too far from the boardwalk, about a 15 minute walk. We had the 3 bed family suite room, it included refrigerator, microwave, AC. Beds were surprisingly comfortable. the parking it as a good size but I can see it getting full on busy weekends so parking wouldnt be guaranteed. we tried to check in early but the office shows it opens at 3pm so that was inconvenient.

Creaky, bouncy beds. Pool full of leaves and floating debris. A five-minute walk to the pier.

Great weekend at the beach.

This was one of the worse stays I’ve had in Santa Cruz. Limited check in hours. No parking available. We were told we would have to park in a metered lot up the street that wasn’t open all night and wait until a spot opened up. Eventually they let us park next to the pool outside our room. Our door to our room was almost impossible to open. Our family also stayed and ended up getting locked out along with 3 other families at midnight because their key cards stopped working. There was no toilet paper in our room when we got there. Also, the pool was cloudy and green. Guests were cleaning the pool when we got there. The water from the shower smelled like sewage…. I will never stay at this hotel again..

The doorknob was broken and the deadbolt couldn’t actuate at all. The keycards come with a warning to keep them away from, “wallets, cards, magnets, keys, or cash” lest it lose the magnetism needed to work, And that did happen despite my pocket being completely empty save for the keycard and it’s sleeve. Fortunately, there was a late check in and I was able to get a replacement card. The room itself had a moldy smell. Mattresses and pillows need to be retired along with the worn sheets. The fridge was large and worked, but had a smell much like the room. Television barely worked; they really should call dish and have their satellite equipment recalibrated and replaced. I get this is an old probably family-owned small business motel property and probably no worse than the other motels in the area save for the resorts. Still, these lodgings are rough and amenities practically nonexistent. I saw lots of comments that this place is great for pets. That might be the target clientele.

Will not stay here again for the fact that parking is awful!! The first night there wasn’t enough parking and we had to park down the street. I don’t like not having my car close by. The room I felt was not maintained. The towel rack was about to fall off the wall. There was a plug on the wall that was at eye level which was strange and it looked like it was going to fall off the wall as well. The TV wasn’t plugged in when we arrived and it took awhile to get it to work. The pool looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in awhile. Kids would not go in it. Super small rooms. Pictures are deceiving. The bed was comfortable and the boardwalk is walking distance. About 10 mins. That was about all that was good with the place.

Our family rm was nice and Ava the office person was very nice and accommodating. The only issue is parking on property but we've stayed before. We walk to boardwalk and take Uber if we want to go eat somewhere.

All around amazing next to great food and not even 10 minutes from the beach
