Great stay at Carousel Beach! Literally next door to the Boardwalk. Rooms were well maintained and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was simple but more than enough for our need. Would happily recommend this hotel to anyone planning a visit to Santa Cruz.

We had a great stay! The room was clean and had a microwave and mini-fridge. We loved the balcony too. We enjoyed the cocoa and popcorn in the lobby. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the price was reasonable. We will be back.

Loved the location and closeness to the boardwalk and beach. The breakfast area is a bit too small to accommodate the guests, we had to move around people a lot to get to the items we wanted to eat and drink.

Hotel is older and for the price, should be cleaner and better maintained. Bathroom was stale and had a used towel on the door. Morning front desk staff was amazing and helpful, evening staff not so much.

Solid for the price, I’d stay again. Quiet staff was nice great location. Small breakfast area but get what u are getting and get out for that

We stayed for three days staff was very helpful and property was well maintained. Breakfast was very good .

While the furnishings and bedding look new, the place is filthy. See photos. My socks got filthy from the carpet. Most disappointing though was that the beds are hard as a rock. I would not stay here again.

Cool little spot, great lovation!!!

I I didn't like that. I had to get ready just to go get coffee downstairs. The coffee pot in the room was filthy dirty nasty look like it hasn't been washed in months. I even have pictures.

The convenience of how close it was to the boardwalk The ac was turning off at night and was not coming back on. We had to sleep with the sliding door open. Also seen a cockroach in the kitchen area on the last day of our stay.

Location is perfect! Free parking is always a plus. The included breakfast is awesome, with multiple healthy options. The balcony was an extra lovely space in the morning. Thank you for letting us stay. We are short asian people, and the bed was a little high, but we slept like babies.

I love how close we where to the Boardwalk One of our rooms the fridge didn't work well and the microwave didn't work, had to use only one fridge and one microwave between 7 people
