Fireside Inn Santa Cruz

Going to the boardwalk, we stayed most of our time there. But we did use the room to rest and sleep in. Since we arrived early, they did allow us to park there for an extra fee, which we didn’t mind. The staff were very helpful as well. We were very close to the boardwalk and don’t really have anything negative to say about it. We will definitely be staying here when we return.

This room was bare bones. The METAL bed frame sounded like we were sleeping inside a garbage can. There was no coffee maker and the volume of stairs required to just get to your room was over the top. The television was very poor quality and the remote was missing the back. There was no alarm clock. In general the room was disappointing.

Super close to the Boardwalk. Basic hotel. Good AC. Bed was lumpy, but room overall was clean and decent for location and price.

Very clean the staff was very nice and the view to the Santa Cruz Boardwalk was amazing .

Rooms are extremely basic. Beds are not comfortable. The location is what you’re paying for. Can’t beat the walk to and from the boardwalk.

The only thing we liked was the distance to the boardwalk. Other than that, the rest was tolerable at best.

The hotel property is hilly and may be challenging for someone who is disabled.

The location is spectacular. Wharf, boardwalk and beach all 1-2 blocks. Staff was friendly and so helpful, really outstanding. Rooms were comfy and equipped with microwave and fridge.

Unfortunately, this year's experience was completely different. The man in the office was rude, hostile, and questioned me as if I wasn't a paying guest. To make matters worse, the room was dirty, the floors had clearly not been cleaned, and there was an unpleasant smell. It was very disappointing to see such a decline in both customer service and cleanliness. Sadly, I will not be returning.It doesn’t matter how close it is to boardwalk if the experience isn’t pleasant

Good place close by the boardwalk and pier, all within walking distance.

Close to the boardwalk. Use Groupon for tickets to unlimited rides and attractions. The rooms are nice and clean. I suggest a better shower head/pressure.

The room we got was definitely good for the price! The boardwalk was a 5-minute walk away! Parking at this location is a little tight but the staff member that was there when we got there showed us where to park (we had to parallel park into the space he wanted us to park in) but everything else about the property was great!

It is a good hotel clean the staff is friend shops and bahía is very closed is nice to walk to sea
