Good but outdated

We were on the 1st floor near office- it was very noisy, it felt like our door was open. Plus the bed squeaked whenever we turned over. It was a pricey room - granted close to Santa Cruz beach which is lovely but I wouldn’t recommend this room. Room was dated and smelled like bubble gum- I didn’t care for that.

Although it appears to be an older property our room was updated and clean. The small private patio area was dirt, rocks & a couple of grass plants, but table ,& chairs were clean.

The location worked well for the activities that I planned. The breakfast was suitable for my needs. The staff very helpful. The room was spacious. The hotel is has two stories and no elevator. Fortunately they sent a message to make me aware of this and I got a needed first floor room.

The bed was sooo soft the springs were heard and felt through the mattress topper. I didn't sleep well for a week while staying here. I woke up every night 2-3 times because of body pain from the bed. The location isn't close to anything walkable. We wouldn't stay here again.

Breakfast was good. Lots of options. Noise from the main road and from second floor. Basic amenities but clean.

It was good for what we needed. A clean and comfortable place to stay that was close to the university. The beds and pillows could have been more comfortable, they were too soft. But all in all it was good.

The room was clean , the cleaning crew was friendly. The breakfast was fair. The sausage was not good but the rest was ok. The pool and jacuzzi looked nice. It was nice to have a pay machine to wash the clothes. The shower was nice, warm water and good pressure. It was nice to have a microwave, coffee and refrigerator. The bed was not comfortable. I had to turn the other way so I could feel like it was flat. It was right but a busy road which was ok. They did find me a room on the bottom floor which I needed because it’s hard for me to walk upstairs. The grounds were nice. It’s a decent place but I would find somewhere else if I go back to the area.

It was a nice family trip close the boardwalk

Excellent staff. I was given lots of information about the area along with things to do.
