The windows don’t have screens (they also don’t lock), there is no water pressure (so bad we couldn’t wash our hair), water wouldn’t get hot, the breakfast is cereal/pastries (nothing of nutritional value), rooms definitely aren’t soundproof, hair in the beds, pool is closed without a reopening date (but of course that wasn’t disclosed when booking!), and the list goes on and on. Utterly disappointed and grossed out. The only reason we dealt with this was because we were there for 4th of July weekend so everything was booked and unavailable. But trust that we tried to get a new reservation elsewhere. It was so bad we ended up driving home late one night and just stomaching the cost of the room. Take your money somewhere else!

My only complaint is regarding the breakfast selection. The room is advertised to have a hot breakfast every morning, but unfortunately it was limited to all sweet breakfast items. They had waffles, cereal, yogurt, oatmeal, sweet pastries, toast and bananas, which is a good start, but doesn't include anything that will put actual fuel into your tank, so to speak. I'm talkin' about: where's the eggs, sausage &/or bacon? Something savory or anything not sweet? Our last stay at a different Quality Inn had a bangin' breakfast with basically anything you can imagine and I suppose I expected something similar.

Check in was easy and simple, but there was no parking available.

the check-in person!! I could not understand him!! this is the U.S.A. learn English!!! The beds were horrible!!!! They need to change BED mattresses every few years!! the Money they charge to stay a Nite!! the MATTRESSES should be COMFORTABLE!!!!! This Quality Inn Santa Cruz at 1101 Ocean St. is not worth the price you pay!!! the TOWELS ARE LIKE SAND PAPER, They also should be throw out and replace!!! the ADVERTISEMENT on how close you are from the Stanta Cruz Boardwalk is Misleading!!! you need a ride too far to walk!!! I will never stay at this UNQUALITY INN!! its terrible... Maybe the OWNERS should sleep in the BEDS and find out how bad these MATTRESSES are...Same on HOTELS .COM for recommending this MOTEL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The office clerk said we should have switched rooms the night before. We would have if it wasn’t late and I wasn’t already too tired. He pacified my wife and said call Expedia. Expedia said call the hotel office.

The breakfast was minimal. The juice machine ran out of juices and they were not refilled, instead the sign would be turned around and water would come from any tab pushed. The parking was terrible. There are many construction trucks that consume the alley and make it difficult to park or remove your vehicle. I would suggest that people do not stay here. Also, there should be a notice to potential customers that the pool and breakfast are not as advertised.

The room was very clean and attractive. The location of the property is seedy. Too many homeless up front by the street. The property is old and needs to be updated. No division between other properties and this one. Unattractive environment.

Always a pleasant stay, the staff very friendly and accommodating!

Very nice person working. Clean. Got the job done. There was a small window that had no curtain and we had light all night shining through on our faces. Besides that, very decent motel.

The staff members did help a little when I told them the power went out in both room. Then it proceeded to go out again and no longer called again. Also, the towels had hair all over them & the toilet as well. It smelled like dirty rag was used to wipe down; and see wet streaks on floor. I paid $378 for one night and i probably wouldn’t stay there again.

The beds were hard and on metal frames, there were gnats constantly in the room even with the door and window closed, the A/C was on the other side of the room near the bathroom so it was inconsistent with the temperature when someone was in the shower. Parking was Okay, and the conjoined room was occupied by other guests and you could hear their conversation through the conjoined door.

-
Big sized bed, good space Reeked of cigarettes, sketchy neighbors, bed was slanted and creaked at every little move, tile on floor was broken, uneven flooring.
-
Late breakfast 8am. Was gone. AC unit very noisy. Northeast place just ok.

Staff was great. Give Jay a raise. Pet friendly and close to the beaches.
