SureStay Hotel by Best Western Santa Cruz

The pillows are like a sack of potatoes so bring your own! Also no coffee pot in the room.

This hotel is a no frills hotel, but definitely was clean. Parking was easy and free. Staff is friendly and helpful. Air conditioning worked well and beds are comfortable in the unit we were in. My only feedback is the lighting in the room is pretty bright and almost like fluorescent lighting. No dimmers, so it felt like office or task lighting in the bedroom. Easy check in and out.

Great customer service, room was clean but had some updating that it could use. Breakfast was good. All in all, would stay again!

We left after checking back in, rooms were not clean, floor dirty, microwave was broken, chair and bed light was broken. When check out onace again no one at desk dropped keys in box.We had two room booked. Never going back to this place back again.

Staff absolutely rude refuse to give more than two towels until I had to go to the office. I wish I was told two towels was enough for one room. I had to raise my voice in the office enough to make a scene in front of the other guest reminding the what I believe is owner that I paid $450 for one night and you refuse to give me more than two towels. The rooms were dirty with stains on the pillowcases a very low quality hotel. I can’t believe I got duped in the paying 450 for a low quality hotel.

Your Location and Sure Stay has a Daimond in the ruff with Shaliej, fantastic people person, and he makes you feel comfortable with just a conversation, like you're coming home to stay at your own house after you have been away for a bit! Truely a Sure Stay-"Gem" All seems well, I will be returning to this Sure Stay.

I was very late checking in to my room…a little after 11:00pm. I called the hotel to inform them I was running late and I wanted to make sure I could still check in. The owner/manager initially told me that there wouldn’t be any employee to help me check in and that my room key would be under a floor

Worst hotel ever. Dirty room horrible service and the breakfast or lack of breakfast was horrible

I wish there was more variety for breakfast

The hotel was very run down. The grounds around the pool are littered with trash and stains from either spilled drinks or throw up. The lobby smelled like cigarette smoke. Upon my arrival, the front desk person was on another call that lasted 15 minutes. She never acknowledged me and had me just standing there. During the check in, she did not provide any information regarding the wifi or any amenities like breakfast or about the pool. I went to check out the pool on my own and the water looked very cloudy.

Staff was reall nice and helpful

The older guy attending the front desk was not courteous to other guests.

We were unable to check in. No one was in the office to check us in. We had to sleep in our car.

From the moment I called to confirm I was off to a rocky start. I called to confirm my room. The staff member asked why I was calling. He had a rude tone. Friday afternoon the room didn’t look clean and smelled bad. Got another room & it smelled clean.

Room was freshly clean good location not far from boardwalk No toilet paper in bathroom no towels breakfast consist of toast bananas and cereal horrible also upon arrival Indian guy at desk was rude all because I couldn’t understand what he was saying obviously

Reasonable location for I1 and the boardwalk. Check in staff were great. Ample parking. Rooms basic. Breakfast terrible.

The gentleman in the office was friendly. Breakfast wasn’t to good. WiFi was slow and not very many movie channels
