Clean room and the air conditioning was great. A great location for half the price of the surrounding hotels. Quaint rooms with the basics.

Had a great stay at this boutique, historic hotel. The room was lovely - comfortable, renovated and clean. I felt very safe at this hotel and had an excellent sleep! The location is fantastic - a few minutes stroll to the beachfront. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend for solo female travelers.

The Location is excellent the Hotel is only two blocks away from the beach and Santa Monica Pier. It is also walking distance to many restaurants and bars. The room was clean and well kept and not too small. The Hotel Staff is very polite and welcoming. People staying at this Hotel get a 15% discount on a few of the restaurants that are on the same block as the Hotel. Cons: The Hotel is on the older side. There is only one small elevator that is very slow. Because of this instead of waiting for the elevator I found myself taking the stairs most of the time. The water pressure in the shower is terrible. Also when running the shower the water temperature is constantly switching between cold and hot and never stays at a constant temp, This made taking a shower challenging. Because the hotel is older you can hear noise of anyone talking and walking past your room and outside noise is also a problem if your window is facing the street side. The AC is a little older and is very noisy when it is running.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location was great being within walking distance of everything you’d want to see and do in Santa Monica. The staff were great and the room although basic was clean with everything you’d need for your stay in it. The valet parking was extra but essential. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay there again.

Great location but be prepared to park in a parking garage nearby as one night parking there is $63

Location was great. It’s an older building and the AC unit in our room on the 4th floor was so loud when it kicked on it sounded like a jet engine going. This would happen every 20 mins or so….all night long. So keep that in mind if you are a light sleeper.

The staff was amazing, and the location is perfect right between the third street promenade and pier. We also dig a big bus tour that was a five minute walk. Would definitely stay again.

Front desk staff was pleasant. Location was ideal and perfect.

I liked that it was close to the ocean but did not like that it didn’t have no continental breakfast for the price you pay at least that should of been provided, and pay for parking too

Great experience to stay with older kids, family of four. Excellent spot very close to action. Easy drop off, complimentary wifi & coffee in rooms. A great hub. No refrigerator in rooms but we found it a cozy little oasis with friendly staff.

Close to the Promenade, pier and restaurants, this is a classic old school hotel.
