Location just mere steps from the Santa Monica Pier. Stores close early as 9pm. Very few stores open for late night food or snacks.

Terrible and dirty hotel
-
The property is close to the waterfront & entertainment.

Great location just 2 blocks from the beach and 1 block from 3rd St promenade. Coffee shop/restaurant next door was very convenient. Easy to valet park. Very friendly staff. Hotel is 100 years old but is well maintained. Freshly painted and clean rooms with good AC. Only issue is the cable and wifi. Switched my room first night when cable wouldn't work. Was told it was an old system that they were trying to upgrade. Free WIFI is available but slow and would drop often. OK just to check email or send a quick message but not good if you need to work remotely. TV in my new room worked but did freeze regularly. Bottom line a good value for the $ and perfect location. I travel to Santa Monica a few times a year and would stay here again.

All in all hotel was good. Great location, close to everything. Little loud on Saturday night but not really an issue. Whish they had more than one elevator but all good.

Although the hotel is older, the room was really nice and clean. We had a large room with a comfortable living area, which made our stay very enjoyable. The hotel is also in a great location near the pier, which was very convenient. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay.

Great location, spacious and clean room, and fantastic staff!
-
The hotel is at a great location, close to the beach and restaurants. Shout out to the front desk, staff, cleaners (especially a gentleman, cleaning the elevators and the maids) - they were incredibly friendly and accommodating.
-
Great location, very close to the beach and pier. Lots of shops near by. Very friendly staff. Hotel has had a huge refresh since i last stayed 10 years ago. Very clean and bright The hotel used to offer coffee and pastrys in the morning but sadly they no longer offer this, despite the price increase. But there is a lovely coffee shop to the right of the entrance, a bit pricey but very nice coffee.
