I was charged a significant amount in hotel fees, but I was not informed of the total until I specifically asked to see the final bill at checkout. Even more concerning, I found a charge for something I never purchased from one of the hotel’s stores. I had never visited the store, and I only caught the charge because I requested and reviewed the receipt before leaving. If I had not asked for the final bill, I would have left without knowing about the incorrect charge and would have had to deal with it afterward. My advice to anyone staying here is to always request the final bill and carefully review every charge before checking out. Beyond the billing issues, the hotel itself needs some TLC. There were several chairs with cracked frames and damaged vinyl, and some walls and other areas clearly need repair and maintenance. Overall, the experience was disappointing. Between the unexpected fees, the incorrect charge, and the general condition of the property, I would not choose to stay here again.

the Westin was a fantastic experience for us to celebrate our one year anniversary at. The staff catered to ever whim, the breakfast for 2 deal every day let us get a quick bite at the buffet or expand our horizons by ordering off the menu, and the property's rooftop was the best spot to start or end a day! I will definitely be recommending it to anyone and everyone planning to go to Sarasota :)

Great location , close to downtown restaurants. Nice room. The swimming pool was good on the 19th floor, plenty of pool towels. A great feature is the bar upstairs adjacent to the pool with fantastic views. Requested a late checkout & agreed. Front desk staff very good , chatty & pleasant. The breakfast service was slow, took ages for the food to come & missing some items. Which I pointed out but then provided. The selection not as good as other Westins. Our server disappeared for a while, presumed on a break. Had to request coffee top ups a few times with out being offered. Our room was at the end of the floor. As we entered spotted a swimsuit outside the sealed window & some rubbish. Must have been dropped from a balcony or the rooftop pool. Cleaning staff should have noticed.

Beautiful hotel that’s clean and super comfortable beds and sheets! Great location, across the street from all the restaurants. 15 min drive to siesta key beach! Highly recommend to stay here! I will def be coming back!

Food was great. Front desk was super helpful, warm and inviting. Love the shuttle service. Rooftop pool and bar was top notch. Great atmosphere.
