Holiday Inn Express Savannah - Historic District by IHG

We also fell in love with Savannah. The people seem more relaxed, happier, and genuinely polite. It’s refreshing to visit a place where kindness and good manners are still part of everyday life. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely come back!

Very clean space

Overall the stay was fine. The location is great for walking around historic Savannah, which was primarily what we were going for. The shade in our room was broken, but the view wasn't really worth it anyway (parking deck/alley). There was a minor power outage while we were there, but otherwise it was fine.

The carpets and fabric sofas needs a good cleaning. There were visible spots and a fait odor. We also had to ask for clean bed spread.

Very expensive for a very out dated hotel…. Couldn’t get out of there any faster!

The property is right across from the riverwalk. It’s in a great location as we were able to walk to historical monuments and stores. The breakfast was great and very modern decor. The room was immaculate and we had a restful night. Highly recommend and will stay again.

The staff was super helpful and accommodating.

Also, valet parking is $48 a night. There is an adjacent public parking area for $20 a night. We found out that the valet parking is in the same garage. Plus, we could have walked there faster than waiting for valet parking

My toilet barely flushed, a few times I thought it was going yo over flow. The pool was closed by 9:40 when the sign on the wall said 10pm, and the bar was wiped clean by 9:45 when the sign said it closed at 10pm too. Breakfast was a disaster!! The food area was always out of food, the "fresh bananas" where hot and mushy, and the food was always empty because the kitchen worker wouldn't stop yapping to her "regular guest." The line for food was at least 30 people deep all the time! I seriously waisted money staying here. 110% NOT worth $300 a night. There's nothing at this hotel thay justifies paying $300 a night!

The location was great ,the bed was firm but not terribly uncomfortable. We set the Ac on 65 but in never got below 70 and that was only in the middle of the night. The main reason we booked this hotel was for the rooftop pool & hot tub but the hot tup was cold and the jets barely worked 😔

Breakfast was free and descent. Parking was valet only and a little pricey. Toilet clogged easily unfortunately but maintenance came fast with a plunger. Staff was friendly, especially Gail during breakfast!

We had good reviews from friends so we planned for the Holiday Inn express and it was perfect for what we needed close to all the squares and old Savannah and Wright on the trolley stop across the small little street so convenient and the staff was amazing. Always nice to have a warm breakfast and a place to drink coffee in the lobby as well as a cocktail if you like great location great people great service couldn’t ask for more.

The only downside was that the pool was closed for maintenance during our stay. However, the breakfast was excellent and had everything you could expect, including omelets, sausage, pancakes, cereal, juice, and coffee available throughout the day. The location was perfect right in the middle of all the major attractions and must-see spots. We even took a half-day trip to Tybee Island, which was only about 25 minutes away. We paid for parking but later realized there was a parking deck right next door. We probably could have saved about $20 and skipped the valet service. That said, the front desk staff was friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Overall, I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the are

Good breakfast. Parking garage next door was helpful. The pool was closed during our stay so we were disappointed.

Everything! The location, the staff (Gail who works in the dining area was exceptional!!) the room and beds were comfortable. The pool area was clean with a great view. It would be nice to have a bigger selection of snacks and drinks to purchase in the lobby.
