Tiffany and the staff in the restaurant was very friendly and accommodating. They made it easy to say that I will revisit the Homewood Suites in Savanna, Georgia.

There was a mishap with my room but I was given free valet parking for the two days I was there and a nice cute gift basket with a bottle of wine as a sorry for the inconvenience from the hotel. That was very appreciated. My only complaint was the beef that was used for the hamburgers. States on the menu it is brisket and angus beef but has a horrible gamey taste to it. Tastes identical to the hamburger patties dairy queen uses. Overpriced for food that is not good quality and not what is advertised. Other than that my stay was lovely. The staff was very nice and the hotel was very clean.

Morgan in specific at breakfast was amazing! She was so helpful, fast, and friendly to everyone. She needs to be promoted honestly! There was a younger guy, tan with dark hair at the front desk that made us feel like we were an inconvenience every time we had to speak to him. The hotel was very nice, but the room was so small. There wasn’t any space for our luggage. The parking situation was also horrible and extremely expensive. The pool is super nice. Views are great, and location is wonderful. The lobby is also very nice, and the breakfast was pretty good!

The biggest issue happened at breakfast on the morning we checked out. I grabbed a slice of bread and was about to put it in the toaster when I saw a German cockroach crawling around the toaster area. I immediately notified a staff member, expecting them to at least remove the toaster from service or inspect and clean the area. Instead, nothing was done while we were there and guests continued using the breakfast area. Needless to say, my family and I were completely done with breakfast after that. Seeing a cockroach around food is bad enough, but the lack of concern after I reported it was even more disturbing. We also ordered dinner from the pool bar. The chicken nuggets tasted like basic frozen grocery-store nuggets, the fries were not even cooked all the way through, and the meal was extremely expensive for the quality we received. Parking is another major downside. There is no free parking. Self-parking was $40/night in an extremely tight garage, or you can pay $50 for valet—only for them to park your vehicle in the same garage. Even after parking, you still have to walk back to the hotel, which made the whole setup feel ridiculous for what they charge.Savannah itself was beautiful and we really enjoyed exploring the River Street area, but I would not choose this hotel again.

Awesome location in the historic district. Very comfortable stay

Overall, the hotel was a nice hotel located on the Riverwalk with easy access to lots of restaurants within walking distance. Arrived a little early and was told we could not check in untill 4. But they checked in the lady ahead of me. When we came back after four, we still had to wait for a room and when I question why, I was told because there was a issue with the lock on the door to the balcony. I do not understand why we were not offered another room as it was obvious the hotel was not booked solid because during our stay, we rarely encountered anybody in the elevator and very few people in the lobby. I feel the $50 charge for valet parking per nite was a bit excessive.

This is an excellent place to stay right on the river. Everything is in walking distance. Staff was great. Breakfast was excellent. I will come back.
